i, as a lesbean, also want more yuri that's not directed towards males. yuri kuma arashi is my favourite anime though, i don't think there's any fanservice at all. it's about gay bears, i love it a lot.

there's also sakura trick, but it's really fanservice-y and the main characters actually make out in every single episode
i understand all
i will forgive all

I think it's sometimes hard to say which scenes really contain fanservice, also since there are different types.
I like the reference kind of fanservice (like characters making a joke about another anime for example) and BL-fanservice (like in DN-Angel). Now and then I also like to look at a shirtless guy, if it just happens sometimes or really beautiful characters.
Sometimes sexual fanservice is just used as a joke (like in He is my Master) and sometimes it gets overused so much that it becomes funny (I just have to laugh when I see Najica amvs). I thing it even helped not to take the plot to serious so it was decent enough to enjoy the short animes. Animes like Free show that it can work and it also works in games.
I read that also detailed information about magic/sci-fi is considered fanservice (character explains how a machine/power works even though it's not plot relevant) so I also like that kind.
Also fight scences that are really long or funny can be good if well-made.
So I think fanservice is ok if the it is somehow limited and fits the plot and it can even contribute to make the anime/manga/game... more fun.
I used to be online a lot here, but I became bored of this site and I don't like some of the rules here.
Now I'm pretty busy as well. You can still try to message me though, I might be online again now and then : )

Does anyone know any animes similar to Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (Your Lie in April)? In terms of the plot revolving around classical music, that is ^.^

I know a yaoi, but the manga is better and I'm not sure if you are looking for that.
Sayonara Piano Sonata is about music and the description also mentions classic music, but I didn't watch it myself.
And there is a movie about Piano no Mori.

hey!
i haven't seen it, but Nodame Cantabile is next on my list c: apparently it's pretty similar to YLIA (but hopefully with less feels because ylia bROKE ME.)
According to my notes, Kiniro no Corda: Primo Passo and Hibike! Euphonium are also classical music animes, both seem a bit lighter though and are a bit lower on my priority list c:

anyone actually seen any of these? i'd love some opinions before i watch 'em

Hey, this may be random to what a one is currently talking about, but does anyone have any cosplay tips? I'm planning on creating a sword (Ragnarok from Soul Eater to be exact) and I'm wondering what materials I should use and how I should go ahead with putting it together. Anyone have tips or tricks?
