On my latest file for EOT, I named my team ONM 51, after my favourite issue of my favourite magazine. I REGRET NOTHING.

[Spoiler]The team found out from xatu that the reason for the main character turning into a pokemon might be because of ninetail's curse and that it might be the cause for the disasters that were occurring. Gengar's team heard this and told everyone else. They then had to leave because everyone tried to destroy the main character to restore balance to the world. The team then went on a journey to meet ninetails to question it and prove the main character's innocence.[Spoiler end]

Star looked over her shoulder to see Gumball standing on the edge of the cliff, admiring the scenery with the night sky reflected in his big eyes. She walked back over to him. She had to agree, it was quite the sight.
Gumball slung his arm over Star's shoulders and brought the Torchic close. Her inner fire warmed him, despite the fact that they just left a volcano he still needed the warmth. The night was cold as the breeze ruffled his partner's feathers.
Star could see the Squirtle trembling with cold and instantly pressed closer to him, trying to flare the fire in her belly to warm him up. She didn't feel cold, she was a Fire Type after all. But he was a Water Type, and didn't have her protection against the chill. This was her fault, he shouldn't have to suffer just for her sake.
Something wet dripped onto his belly and Gumball looked down to see Star crying. He instantly panicked. "Hah? What's wrong? Are you hurt?" He asked, kneeling down to look her in the eye.
"I-I'm so sorry..."
Gumball blink-blinked. "Hah?" He answered.
Star blinked a few times to clear her watery eyes. "Y-You shouldn't have to suffer because of me, I'm sorry I'm p-putting you through this." She sniffled.
Gumball stood up and hugged her, resting his chin on the top of her head. "It isn't your fault, It's Gengar's fault. He started this. Don't cry Star, we'll be ok..." He promised softly, stroking her back.
"I'm the one who abandoned Gardevoir."
Gumball pulled back and held her shoulders. "Look me in the eye Star." He ordered sternly. She complied and he told her, "You didn't abandon Gardevoir. I know you, and I know that you'd never do that. All you do is good Star, they just don't see that because they're scared of what they don't understand."
Star sniffled. "There's no proof that I didn't abandon her." She pointed out miserably.
Gumball wished she hadn't said that. "There's no proof that you did." He countered.
Star started crying into his chest. "I-I'm a monster, Gumball! Why do you stay with me?" She asked tearfully, starting to sob.
Gumball hugged her again. "Because I believe in you, and I know you'd never do anything bad." He whispered. He held her while she cried, and when she settled down and dozed off, he protected her. She was at her weakest right now, hurt from the battle against Moltres and torn because of the accusations against her. She needed him more than ever right now.
And he wasn't going anywhere.

Pfft *Pulls out endscene*
She would forget about him.
Star watched as everybody celebrated. Rayquaza had destroyed the star and the world was saved, thanks to her and Gumball. But as Gardevoir said, her role was ending. And when she became a human again, she was going to forget everybody. Alakazam, Charizard, Tyranitar, Xatu, Lombre, Snubble, Bellsprout and everybody who worked there.
She was going to forget Gumball.
And that broke her heart.
She watched as Blastoise made to blast Lombre with water and everybody laughed. She remained silent, trying to keep the tears from pooling into her eyes. Soon she was going to leave. Soon she would have no memory of this. She remembered her conversation with Gardevoir the night before.
"When I become human again... Take my memories of this place, and give back my memories of being a human."
"Are you quite sure?"
"I'm sure. Only when I'm back in the human world though, not before. Please?"
"...Very well."
It was too late to change her mind. She knew full well that it was for the best, even if it was only for herself. She wished she could erase everyone's memories, but then Gumball wouldn't be as brave anymore. He wouldn't be the same, nobody would be the same. She could only ease her own pain.
"Star?"
The Torchic in question looked up as Gumball came over, concern on his blue face.
"Star, why are you crying?"
Flash!
The light started flittering around her and she looked at Gumball with a sad smile. "It's time." She murmured, tears starting to run down her feathery cheeks.
Gumball panicked. "Star? What's going on?" He demanded, grabbing her small wing as tears started to pool in his eyes. Deep down, he knew what was going on, but he just didn't want to admit it.
Star blinked some of the tears away. She had to be strong, be strong for him. "My role here has ended, Gumball. It's time for me to go. Back to the human world." She explained.
Gumball shook his head. "No! You can't leave, not now! Not after all we've done!" He begged, starting to sob. His heart twisted painfully inside his chest. She couldn't leave him!
Alakazam, despite himself, felt tears come to his eyes as he walked over with his team. "I understand. You were sent here with a role, and now that that role is fulfilled, you must leave." He murmured, to the dismay of everybody.
Caterpie sniffled. "Star..." She sighed.
Star looked only at Gumball. "I'm so sorry Gumball, everyone. But I have to go now. Gumball... I..." She trailed off as the light grew stronger and she started lifting off the ground, away from Gumball's grasp.
Gumball reached out for her. "STAR!" He cried.
Star started to sob as she was lifted away. "I LOVE YOU GUMBALL!" She admitted loudly as she flew away, away from her best friend.
And very faintly, she heard his voice call to her,
"I love you too."
