Also HEY LET'S MIGRATE SOMEWHERE. xD Should I make a thread on TDF? I can call it "WIP Fantasy Roleplay OOC" or something. Can I change thread titles on TDF, or would it need to be locked and recreated once we have it all laid out and named and stuff?

@Indy I did tell Comanche earlier that we're not intentionally focusing on gryphons, and now they're off researching obscure mythology. xD But for some reason I've got this gryphon craze goin' 'round.

I-I usually don't take part in RPs that involve people beyond my good friend I've been RP-ing with since we were.. fourteen? But if it gives me an excuse to come up with a gryphon, I'd love to take part in one. My favorite bird of all time [aside from the moondancing manikin birds] is the Oriental bay owl, and I'll probably use it as a template if I don't freak out and decide not to join at the last second. Well, I guess I should rephrase that to my favorite bird of prey. I love them so much but next to nobody knows what they are. When I was younger I was pretty sure I'd settle as one, but as I got older I grew out of that owl-ish mentality and closer to something more grounded and aquatic. Still a fun form, though. As far as other birds I love wood storks, friarbirds, etc. Weird birds that most of the time are bald, or partially bald.

And ah, would it be acceptable if I just took the bay owl and made it into a quadrupedal hexapod bird? As much as I love traditional gryphons and blending a bird and a quadruped together, I have a thing for making my gryphons have birdlike hind quarters and a plain ol' bird tail, and no external ears. I like the feel they have ever since I tried them out a while back when I made gryphon versions of my camerabirds. Sometimes I'll stick a tail in there like you'd see on dinosaurs well into the transition between reptiles and birds.

XD with which bird? They are gorgeous <3 though I'm not sure how well I'd be able to mesh those stripes with a spotty owl and a the design focus would be on the bird of paradise if I went with that one so I don't want the whole thing to be DESIGNS EVERYWHERE! XD

Loon + badger maybe? I was thinking something more agile... Snow leopard might work, but a smaller animal would be better. I'm so picky. >.>
