My plot idea is for a story I intend to call 'A Trashcan Full of Roses', because of reasons.
It's set on an apocalyptic/post apocalyptic Earth, where aliens have invaded. They gathered up the world's best athletes, thinkers, strategists, and the like, and sent them off to battle for Earth's right to exist. However, this is not their story. Several lightyears away, an alien ship left behind to watch over the Earth orbits closely around the sun. It has massive shields that deflect the heat energy, so it is able to stay without melting. Eight minutes at the speed of light away, a young girl named Katie (or something, not sure yet) and her family join many others to set about rebuilding. When the ship first reached the Earth, its shields disrupted the electromagnetic field protecting the Earth from solar flares. Because of that [_____ science-y stuff need to research]. It also nudged the moon slightly out of orbit due to its large mass and gravitational pull, causing even more catastrophes on the planet below. Katie has two twin sisters who play professional double's tennis (or something), and the aliens deemed one of them the best and shuttled her off to the distant reaches of space. The other was left alone on Earth: a rose pruned from the bush. I don't know anything about Katie as a character yet, not even really her name, so I can't tell how she'll react to the situation. I do know that they eventually follow along with a 'doomsday prepper' in their neighborhood, or someone with equal leadership skills. And I know that they receive messages from the lost sister, at a delay of eight minutes from when the mothership at the sun receives all the communications. I also know that the competition lasts for years and years, but at the end the Earth has lost. The planet is destroyed, and the formal message that the other sister is now a fatality statistic reaches only wreckage and radioactive particles.
...I sort of came up with this last night, so a good majority of this was made up as I went along and it's all very open to change, though I'd like to keep the title.

I was trying to go for a "clean lines" look, though I don't know if it worked that well. On top of that, redlines and critique are much appreciated! :]
Great work on that drawing^^. I redlined it for you, but I don't have much to nitpick on. For the clean look I'd recomend less fluffing of the lines, especially on the ears, just like Medusa's Cascade just said before me. This will vary depending on what kind of look you are going for of course, but I also have some anathomical pointers; The ears are a great deal big, and placed to much on the top of the head. Try slideing them down the sides of the head a bit. The muzzle ends a little bluntly, a pointier tip with some nose and mouth details will give it a more delicate look^^.

^ Reference ^.^
Your muzzle has an interesting bump when it reached towards the end, whereas wolf muzzles are actually fairly boxy.
The ears also seem a tad to big ^.^
Other then that, though, it looks really nice.
Hope this helps~
