Late Yama is late...

How do your equid/s celebrate their birthdays, if they celebrate them?
Silan - She doesn't care about a party. The most important thing is that she can spend her birthday with her mate and friends.
Etiènne and Kashmir - They celebrate together as they share a birthday. Herd party! Although Etiènne tends to be a bit more quiet and calm and Kashmir is the wilder party equid.
Aguares - He celebrates himself every single day. No need for a some special b-day stuff. Although... maybe a bit wild honey to nibble... ?

What was your reaction when you first saw each of your equids (breedings, adopts, or customs)?
Silan - She is so different, so unique, so beautiful... I have no chance winning her.
Etiènne - He HAS to be Silans mate!
Aguares - My dark prince. <3 I know you are no nice guy and that's why I love you.
Kashmir - Must try to ... noooo ... caaan't resiiiist.... *fills in her form*

I think a lot of people are forgetting that breedings and equids are a luxury, that many people seem to be taking for granted. A lot of people are forgetting that horsy is a student and has a right to be able to feed herself too. Likewise, many people are not comprehending that species are time consuming and tiring to run. I tried to run a free species here on cs but with rising student costs like textbooks, I had to take it to DA for financial help. This profession that the community enjoys so much IS a luxury, and everyone in the profession deserves to earn a luxury, comfortably liveable wage. Unfortunately many people can barely manage on "steep" commission prices as it is, so for them to live comfortably just isn't an option.

$1-3 for a breeding/ character design is not an extortionate price. $1-3 for a breeding/character design is so unbelievably cheap that it shocks me that horsy is being so generous to everyone.

As for customs; if priced accordingly to their rarity they will still maintain it. Many people, even those with cash to spare would have to carefully consider a design purchase anywhere above $10, and that I think is a fair starting point for WMEs.

For those of you who are saying that you could never afford a breeding or custom, I have a solution: you are all talented artists, go to DA and take commissions. There are many groups out there like Nordanners and Equus Avis, and even roleplay groups like chevalin-wanderlust that reward people for obtaining art, and there is a very high demand for cheaper "point gaining" art. People will go wild for a $3 full body with background, I promise you. All you need to do is have some exposure over there so that people know you're taking great value commissions. If you are a writer, some groups reward for literature too, you may want to do some research.

I think this is perfect. I kinda prefer this option also as it might make it easier for me to catch a breeding and the artists get the reward for their hard work! *changes vote*

I also think it means people can appreciate the value of just one equid and appreciate every single beautiful fluffy headed pony <3

Drop it please, horsy doesn't want this discussed until she gets back.

What was your reaction when you first saw each of your equids (breedings and adopts)?

Jesäba: I thought she looked so simple and beautiful I couldn't resist but try out for her, I adore solid coats c: and her golden eyes were so pretty a contrast to her dark, pangare coat. Plus pangare is just ;3; and when I saw I had won her -months later because I was too nervous to look- I was freaking out because I got the pretty lady c:

Luffa: As soon as I saw him among the created pets, I knew immediately that he was mine c: Jesäba's first son, let alone with her mate Kronos. I was so happy to see him and I adored how he turned out. Immediately I started thinking of names, and came up with Luffa. It reminded me of warmth, softness and love c: perfect <3

Chex: I died! Seriously, I saw her and my heart dropped as I imagined what I would have to do in order to try to make her mine. Then I clicked on the page, and she was fcfs?!?!?!?! My heart almost went through my chest as I hurried and put together my form, and then I sat there and continued to shake as I admired her .-. I knew she would be my precious and I would spoil her.

Gatsby: So, his father and mother are two of my most favortist equids ever. I was dying and dying to see him made, and of course, I recognized he was mine the moment my eyes found him. That bright coat, wonderful mask, faded paint marking on his leg... And I knew immediately I had to base him off of a great book. Literally. The Great Gatsby it was c:

Fausto: Ahhh, Fausto. I saw him and melted a little, I mean, a peach dun! That overo? Needed it. So badly. He was far too adorable and I knew that if I got him he would be the sweetest little stallion all around and would be my peachy gummy bear c: so I messaged dream immediately and requested if I may use Ripple, and thankfully, she said yes <3 the funny thing is that we have each won an equid using one of each other's equids!

Trojan: Likewise to Gatsby, I completely adore Trojan's parents. I felt like I was dying the longer I waited, but once I saw him, the wait was forgotten c: he was so perfect, even more than I had imagined. I knew he would be the rock in my herd, and is now the leader <3 so handsome c:

Duchess: I had literally been thinking like 10 minutes before she was posted about how badly I was craving a flea-bitten, blood marked mare. Even better, she was a blood splash e-o I was thinking about the insane competetion as I clicked on her, and to my disbelief, she was fcfs!!! I was having a heart attack as I filled out her form. She is like my little princess c:

What was your reaction when you first saw each of your equids (breedings, adopts, or customs)?

Skyrionic; When I got my first Boy I was super happy. I honestly cried for a bit because I was so happy that the name I picked won quq

Naveen; Naveen was my first breeding and I was excited. I had no idea what she would look like. And then when she showed up... omg <3 I'm sorry for Maz about that quip though!

Amaya; Amaya was the first quid I ever wrote a story for. There where a lot of other stories I thought would win. But after a couple days of being to scared to look I was glad I look quq So Happy <3

Fiammetta; There was a lot of excitment with Fia. I won her in the WME Winter Sleigh contest and the wonderful Birch brought her to Life.

Khepri; My 'lil Joker. After winning her, I could imagine the pranks she'd pull on my other equids and all the silly things.

Evelyn; "MOM LOOKWHATIGOT" c':

Eileen; She took quite a bit of planning. I didn't have a Palomino quidie ion my herd and that needed to change, Pronto. I was really ecstatic to see her and quite surprised to see her dark back end!

Crispin; My bacon bbu I got to watch Char make her {And even said she looked like bacon} and In the stream I decided no mater what contest it was, I WAS entering. My Heart kinda skipped a bit when I saw I won her. I Really love bacon, so a Bacon quid -squee-

Eros; Mmmm... I wasn't having the best of days that day. Mostly family issues. But I saw him and I had to try for the boy. Figuring. "Eh, might as well. Prob lose though." So I enterd. When I saw "Judging" I prepared my self to lose the quid I had gotten attached to. But I won My Little Cupid God ;D; so so happyy

So, I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in a slot contest for Stornoway?
He's an apricot dun roan.

And if you would, would you rather it was an art contest, or a writing contest?
