hello, yes, I will reintroduce :')
I only have one plumerian now! I had all six slots filled but I readopted everyone out.
I'm not that active with characters anymore (almost quit completely) so I slimmed down a lot so that I just had a smol group to focus on
All my babes are getting much more spoiled this way, haha.
The plume I hung on to and never plan on letting go is Vivian ♥

I never actually finished writing out her persona but it's on my to-do list. Vivian is very cat-like in her attitude and interactions. She's a lot like your average cat, more specifically like a Siamese because she is very vocal. She's subtle in her affection, she takes a lot of naps, and she exudes this aura of superiority. Don't let her outer appearance intimidate you though, Vivian is surprisingly quite friendly once you actually approach her and start a conversation (she'll just never be the one to start an interaction). She spends on lot of her time exploring, reading, and napping. While she is curious about many things, she's not one for adventure and prefers to take life at a slow pace. (AKA She's lazy lmao.) She is mated to Ahri and is deeply, deeply in love with her.

• How did you get your plumie? How long have you had them?
This was actually pretty amazing how I got Vivian and it still blows my mind.
I have officially owned her since September 1st, 2015.
I tried out for her in August 2015 and it was announced on the 27th that I won an RU for the contest.
So how did I get Vivian then? Well, Baigel actually won her. But one of the runner-up design options reminded her of her cat that I believe had passed away. So, she messaged all the RU winners to see if any of us would be willing to give up our RU and take this girl instead. What makes this so amazing to me is that I was last in line for an RU. So not only did Baigel make it possible for me to have this beautiful girl, the other two users had to decline her offer before me. I was blown away, and three and a half years later, I still am. She was my final slot at the time and it meant the world to me to walk away with her.

So I posted this about a year ago so I thought it would be good to bring it back up :>
its this whole thing were two plumies sides are divided in a war on how everything in that general area should be lead

I also remember when you were getting rid of characters and I was really hoping you would keep Vivian as I thought she looked so perfect among your characters (plus I liked how you developed her)! I haven't made a post here in such a long time! Honestly, it's been hard watching the community dissolve, I remember when these guys were SO POPULAR that I dreamed of the day I could win one and when I did I was in shock for a full week....anyway, I love the plumerians I own so much & I cannot put into words how much they mean to me. Hopefully you guys will enjoy meeting them as much as I love developing and writing about them!! ^^
(I'm taking a break from homework to do this and oh boy does it feel great to take a break from physics!!)

LINUS IRVING (my precious first plumerian)
Linus is in his early 30s, a journalist for a famous wildlife magazine, he travels the world in search of ideas for articles about different cultures & wildlife. He loves history of different countries, especially oral/literature/myth history as well as wildlife and different languages. He's an open-minded, free-spirit, and curious individual who has so many hobbies that it's surprising that he gets anything done really. Linus grew up in South Africa to two politician parents who never really understood him, his favorite relative was his grandfather, a rich adventurer who left everything he had to Linus after he passed away. Linus lives on the grounds of a zoo in Southern California (his grandfather owned the land that the zoo was built upon) & is quite knowledgeable about plants and animals (he might even be you're guide if you visit!) He loves collecting all sorts of things & his house is basically a huge collection of trinkets & cool stuff he found and dragged home. Music is something he holds very dear to him as well. He loves collecting records & pretty much listens to music released before the 90s only (he really hates modern music)

VAREN PALEO-SEZE
Varen is Linus' best friend ever sense they went to the same private boarding school in South Africa. His parents were rich & eccentric artists (sculptures mostly but also paintings) who pretty much abandoned him under the pretenses that they were "busy." As a kid he tended to act out a lot, usually roping Linus into his schemes and turning him into a rebel too (Linus accredits Varen for changing his shy demeanor into a more outgoing one when they were kids). After high school, he moved to France to study at a famous culinary school, but decided to turn down several job opportunities after graduation, realizing he didn't want to spend his life doing "meaningless work." Varen bought a trailer and lives on Linus' property, traveling with him for his work & works at the zoo feeding the animals and occasionally cooking for people too. Other then that, he loves gardening (turning Linus' backyard into a jungle), lifting weights, and playing guitar. He lives a very simple life, perhaps knowing that wealth isn't all it's cracked up to be due to his parents.

TASSY IRVING
Tassy is Linus' adoptive daughter who Linus' surprised everyone with when he adopted her at a very young age (he was 25, she was 2) and without any planning. He found her when they were camping outback in Australia & saw that she was abandoned by a young mother in the wilderness. She is an inquisitive, energetic, and playful child, that Linus and Varen raised together, even though Linus is her "official parent." Tassy is a rock climber (she's pretty good and competes in state competitions), an avid hiker and world traveler. She's also home-schooled due to her frequent trips with Linus. When she isn't doing school work (something that Linus' insists heavily upon), she's gardening with Varen or helping him in the kitchen, or running around the zoo doing various different jobs for the staff. She's super outgoing, friendly, and still a bright and innocent child who will scamper on anything around her. She also loves arts & crafts, making lots of home-made gifts for the people she cares about! In a way, she take a lot after Linus in that she loves to learn new things, no matter what it is. She doesn't really find things boring, or at least, not in the fun ways Linus and Varen teach her about the world.

LANIE-SHAE
The newest "member" of the gang of three, Shae is a veterinarian and animal behavior specialist at the zoo that Linus and Varen reside/work in. She likes to convey to others that she's tough as nails (wearing a leather jacket if she isn't in a lab coat), but in reality she's quite a softie and loves to gossip about anything and everything. She has an on-again-off-again relationship with Varen (both of them constantly break it off with the other - Shae mostly because she thinks that Varen isn't very ambitious or actually doing something with his life and Varen is mostly afraid of being in a committed relationship). Her favorite things besides working with animals is journaling, drawing, collecting different types of tea, and giving people life advise. Most people are a bit weary of her because she often comes across as fake (she can be really focused on her work & can be very unfriendly when people bother her or she's super in-your-face and wants to know everything about you), and she takes a while to be open and honest with other people, mostly because she isn't honest with herself either. She has a very close bond with Tassy, who loves her just as much, a great respect for Linus as a person and a mentor, and a love-annoyed relationship with Varen. In more ways then one, she usually has the tea. ^^

Wow, it's been a while! I saw some plumeria flower soap while I was out shopping today and I suddenly got a surge of memories all coming back to me. These were really good times... I'm really grateful to this community. I don't think I ever talked about it much, but back during the Plumerian glory days was the same time period that I stopped doing community theatre. It was a conscious choice on my part (because I thought everyone there hated me, which probably wasn't true), but at the time I didn't realize that I'd be losing contact with literally all of my real life friends. I was a homeschooled kid and I didn't have a phone to text them with. Now that I'm writing it all out it kinda feels like a sob story, which it really wasn't! I was lucky enough to find an equally important community to me.

That aside, as I'm not super active, I want to readopt a lot of my Plumies out. I know I ran a readopt before, but I literally remember nothing about that - it's basically self-run, right? I also have two other questions:

1) What's the etiquette for readopting a Plumerian that has a mate and kids? Should I contact their mate's owner, or am I overthinking this?

2) I'm going to be keeping Alicia, my first Plumerian, and Corin, one of her grandkids. He had an artist working on his growth, but it was never completed. Is there any possible way to still get him grown? It's not a big deal, but I am curious.

@Anza Oh man, those were the days. I remember constantly refreshing the thread trying to get into a join.me! I love all of your plumie family, you really fleshed them out so well. I'm especially fond of the bond between Linus and Tassy, they're absolutely adorable.

@Brûlee wow its good to see how Plumerians helped me.
In a way, it worked similarly for me.
I had just started university, which was super stressful, and plumerians helped me keep my mind off of the nasty stuff in life.
They're also the reasin I got into art and writing ^^.

As for your questions:

1) I think it'd be good to contact the owner, but it does depend on whether you were still in contact/that person is still active.
Some people have left CS, so it'll be hard to do. Ultimately though, its your plumerian, so if you get no reply, or if you weren't even talking in forever to begin with, I think you can also do it without letting everyone know.

2) I'd say that you may be able to get him grown if you can find someone who still has access to the lines. You could also just grow him offsite and just refer people to those lines and say that you can n longer get him grown on an original ref.
