How do your equid/s celebrate their birthdays, if they celebrate them?

Sequoia's birthday is close enough to St.Patricks day so she likes to dress in green tinsel and run around nipping all of the equids' hindquarters.

((also, Its getting very close to Sequoia's birthday (March 9). I think it would be pretty awesome if Copper made her foal/filly a birthday present to Sequoia (: ))

Wilde: Her quip changes colour where it touches the white o: She remains the only one with quip like that in my herd <3 Well, Ferrero's quip turns gold, but that only a tiny bit in one spot x3
Janus: The quip on his legs is black on one side, and white on the other. I didn't request that trait, but I realllllly hoped he'd get it, and he did! Folk, you mind reader <333
Vivian: She's so...red o.o Totally not how I imagined her, but honestly? Folk did amazing. Like, holy wow. I still can't get her dapples and colour close enough to how folk did it x3 Gimme some of your magic?

Athena: WHATWHATWAHT I WON I honestly wasn't expecting it. She is the dream quid I could never have dreamed up. She stole my heart the second I saw her, and I knew if I lost, I'd be devastated. To this day, I still can't believe she's mine, my perfect dream quid. I still get a little heart attack when I go past her post <3 I also stare at her perfection a lot XD
Axl: He has white streaks in his maneeeee. And those eyes Trenz's slots seemed to be going really quick, and I thought I had no chance. Then Maliera offered slots from her roan mare Elsa. Filled with hope, I PM'd and managed to get a breeding slot. I then pestered asked B if a slot from Trenz was still possible, and with my luck, it was! I was hoping for the mane stripes, and Kita read my mind x3

Restac: Another dream come true After finally being in the community for a while, I started to realize some dreams of mine. A quid with drip quip and a chocolate palomino were two of my dreams. Never would I have thought I'd win an adopt with both <3
Montag: I love you Kita ;-; Ahhhh<33 I got to see him made too and it was awesome! I sat in com tech and freaked out a little XD He is exactly what I wanted. His face, his tri-colour quip, his sabino- //hugs him even thoug it'd make him uncomfortable
Thaddeus: *melts into an incoherent puddle of happiness* I honestly can't convey in words how stressed I was for his contest o.o I had chosen a story instead of art and I thought I had no chance... but there he is <3 My first event quid!! I love the pink so much and the heart on his chest is the cutest thing ever

Writing this made me realize how fortunate I am that so many goals were achieved even though I've only been here for weeks over a year o.o It is true that I have lost some equids I had become attached to, but I feel that's all part of the experience, yenno? I find I appreciate my equids more when I lose an adopt c:

Has joining WMEs affected you in any way?

In such a big way. By joining this community, I feel I've gained more patience, gained more self-confidence in me and my art/writing, opened my mind to new possibilities, learnt how to see things from different perspectives, become more accepting, and made lots of friends owo I honestly don't know where I would be with my art if it weren't for WMEs.

I remember fly showing these guys to me the first time, and I was really confused as to what you do with them. Never would I have that I could get so attached to pixels x3 Tbh, I thought the idea was stupid at first XD I was like, why would I what this design? Give it a personality? Wat...umm ok?
And now everyone's asking me why I draw these "horse things" pfttt

What was your reaction when you first saw each of your equids (breedings, adopts, or customs)?

Ripple (adopt) I instantly fell in love with what I like to call her "echo" quipping, and her color was very pleasing to me as well. When i saw her she gave off an air of curiousity and playfulness to me and that's the quid that she has developed into

Alibi (breeding) again, fell in love with the quipping and the coloring. His bright little tufts of mane were so fun and I was so excited because he was my first
breeding and he's perfect <3

Singe (adopt) I instantly thought of singed or burned parchment when I saw him (hence the name) and I fell in love with his eyes

Picasso (breeding) he is the first pinto I got in my herd and I was super excited for his pattern and color. I was a little sad at first that the echo quip didnt quite work into his design the way i was hoping, but it has since grown on me and I love his little stripy butt <3

Audrick (adopt) I was honestly really shocked that I won him, but im so happy that I did! He is my second theme quid and I have a fondness for cream dilute coats so I absolutely loved his coloring and the soft feel to his color pallet in general. He is my second paint as well and my newest addition to the herd cx
