Is it better to keep a DA species on one line art until they get more popular (And then start drawing each adopt on a unique lineart), or is it better to just draw them on unique line arts right out of the gate?

Maybe I'm stupid, but what the flip is YCH? I see it everywhere, but I could never figure out what it is/meant. ;;

I'm thinking about opening my art shop back up, but I'm honestly not sure on what prices I would set. I had it open to offers, simply because I didn't know, and people offered me 2014 very commons, etc. for realism work. ^^" I didn't quite agree with that, so I shut it down until I could figure it out. But I'm kind of broke, both with CS pets and USD, and I want to get better at drawing charries, etc. so I'm considering opening again. ;; Any ideas? A few examples;

Mmm unless the lineart is nice, I would prefer to buy something made on custom lines?? Makes them more unique then if they were all on the same lineart.

Unique linearts are always interesting, but for starting out using one lineart might prove to be helpful, just make sure it looks nice! You can add line edits like clothes and hair to make them look more unique as well. ^^

YCH stands for "Your Character Here". Basically you create a sketch/lineart or some kind of picture with an unfinished character and offer to finish it with another person's character, often with auctions and such.
So for example I sketch out a cat catching a fish and I post it as a YCH auction. Then people can see this picture and they already know the pose and overall look of the picture, so if that catches their interest they might bid on it and, once the winner is announced, they give a reference and I line and color the cat as the winner's character.

It's great because you can already see what it'll look like and the prices are usually cheaper than normal custom commissions. C:
