I'm looking for a ROAN mare with an interesting base with slots to spare. I can offer some sort of payment, as in pets, items, or lioden SB/GB. Or art, but I have a lot on my plate right now so it wouldn't exactly be done soon.

I have Marlow?

I don't know about the other artists, they might, but I do this because I enjoy doing it in my spare time. It's the same with my Eldemore artist position, I am essentially a volunteer for them as I am with the equids. And that's fine with me. If I didn't have the time to devote to it as I needed to spend it earning money then I would step down as an artist. I mean I really do appreciate the sentiment of being maybe offered some money for this, but I don't want it, the customs that I work for and making you guys happy are more than enough for me. Either way this goes I will stay a part of the community for sure, but I personally voted no on this subject. I already stated my general feelings on the different parts before in my previous posts so I won't bring that back up XD but since people were throwing around the idea of paying the staff, I wanted to add my 2 cents on that.

^^ this exactly what I mean Jay. When the artist's tried out in the artist comp, they knew the terms and that they wouldn't be getting real money. It's not like they are being forced to keep being an artist here, they can leave and spend their time in the real world working a real job if they wanted real money.

this is a site for having fun during spare time. Adding money into the equation is just, stressful and will tear the community apart.

I'm kind of against the WME's possibly being paid for with breedings. Why? Well all it seems to be getting to be nowadays is money craze after money craze when things get popular. True the species may belong to someone and it is up to the original creator(s) decision as of where the species will go in the near future but hear me out when I say this. Not everyone is able to afford paying for species and all that seems to be going on over and over again is that people who have created species that have become popular are now having to be paid for.
It's starting to get on my nerves that everyone is becoming money crazed when it comes down to things get popular and that sometimes it isn't taken into consideration that not everyone is able to afford paying for things nor have the permission (if they are under aged) from their parents or even family too.
I am however semi neutral with paying for customs though at the same time I don't think that it is necessary that we should pay for customs. I never took part in the 200 WME challenge but I have heard of it. Then at the least people are giving back to the community without having to pay money for anything. I also think that if everyone started to paying for customs, customs would lose their original value.
With that said though I think that if WME's started to become a paid species not many people would enjoy it; but that's just my opinion as I know that if the species started to become having to be paid then I wouldn't enjoy it as much. So long story short, I'm against having the species be paid for breedings/customs as A) not everyone can afford it and it would become unfair, and B) the species would lose it's original value.

Personally, I have nothing against paid customs and breeding. But, I think we need to limit these opportunities. I.e. For only 20 adopts can an artist sell a custom etc.
and even more so, the paid breedings:
If we are going to seriously consider this, there are a few things we need to analyse. I personally suggested paid breeding as another option:
    - Those who can't get on as much can still get breedings done.
    - it's faster and more efficient
    - Not too expensive, but artists are still getting da points or money payment

However, here are a few things that worry me:
    - Just like catching slots, there may be lots who want to pay for quick and guaranteed spots, so how can we make this different from the free breedings so that we dont have to fight and stay up all night to catch paid slots?
    - If there are too many paid slots, how much more work would the artists have to do?

Anyways, just my two cents. xD I think ultimately I will be agreeing with whatever the artists prefer, and either way, this change won't bother me too much. Good luck <3

I wasn't going to post but I now have a concern.

So im neutral on this topic. I like the idea and all but wouldn't personally participate in the paid breedings due to the fact I have no da points and won't spend money on them. But again I like the idea.

But with these paid breedings, if they go forward, I don't want the paid breedings being prioritized over free breedings, and the free breedings being actually complete last. That would put a huge damper on things. But this is my only concern.

As for the paid custom i would totally want a custom but I don't think it would be as special as EARNING one. So I wouldn't participate in that either.

I think no just all the way - people work hard for their customs and equids are meant to be a free for all, everyone should be treated equally!

-skids around discussion- I gave my two cents earlier...~~

Are your equids personalities similar to their mates, or do they contrast?

Abbott: Definitely contrast.
Leena: They couldn't be further opposites if they tried.
Errant: LAWL MATE
Nicolette: She and Anubis definitely have their differences, but they can also be fairly similar.
Nimbus: I'd say he and Pompeii have a similar situation to Nicolette and Anubis.
Aleksi: They are definitely similar when it comes to certain things, but Infinity isn't quite as wild as Aleksi.
Invidia and Charon: Opposites attract. <3
Cirrus: (Her crush) Stryder isn't quite as derp as she is, but Cirrus and him are fairly similar.
Nikolaus: That's one of the reasons I wanted them to be together. XD I mean, they're not exactly the same, but these two definitely suit each other.
I am no longer on CS.

Please don't PM me about trades, Khims, WMEs, or any other business.

For personal reasons I may not be on much.

I would still like people to consider the possibility of paid things, but until things are resolved I won't post anything or do anything.

I've been giving it a bit more thought, and i decided on voting yes to being able to pay for customs and breedings.

My reasoning? As far as i've read, you dont have to participate in buying the customs and breedings, and that the normal adopts wont stop? It comes down to a matter of opinions, from what i can tell. A lot of other adopts here on Chickensmoothie function just fine with having paid customs, and from what i've seen, most of them require payment for breeding, whereas here we can get them for free at the moment.
I also understand that in some of those other adopts, when they offer the customs and such, they dont have a 'rarity' like WMEs do, but whats the difference if its rare or not? I dont think of my roans as special, nor my dragquid as special, because they are just as important and loved as my 'non-special' equids. So, really, from how i see it, its just a matter of opinions, and how you view others who chose to participate in buying customs/breedings.

I think implimenting this as an optional choice would be a great idea, because while some may not want to participate in it, their are a few, as shown by the poll, who, myself included, wouldn't mind it, <3

So, with this as my final thoughts on it, i've chosen yes as my answer for the poll. Though i have to say that i probably wouldn't do it often, due to my own finacial problems, as well as wanting to develop a bond with each of my little pixels, <3
