Okay, so I literally just downloaded my first two texture packs and I'm really excited! They're so cute, but anyway I was wondering, one of them is for 1.7.4, however what would happen if I played on a 1.7.10 world with that texture pack? Would it work or not...?

How do you even install texture packs? I wanna install Steelfeathers enchanted pack but I dont know how.

What I did was just follow the download link, download the zip file, open minecraft, click options, click resource packs, click "open resource pack folder" which should open the .minecraft/resource folder, then drag the zip folder into there, exit, click done on the minecraft interface, close minecraft, re-open it, go into the resource packs again and then select it on the left-hand side, click done and it should work...
Sorry that's a bit hard to follow, but just watch a youtube video on it, it's pretty easy to do/follow along with.

I like and use a lot if texture packs, but Sphax Pure BDCraft is the one I use 80% of the time.

On a related note:
What resolution texture packs do you guys like to use?
Anything below 64x64 strains my eyes - too pixelated - so I don't use those reses much. My computer can handle up to 256x256, but I generally use 128x128 res all the time.
