I support ONLY paying for breeding, customs, donation pool.
I don't think if someone put a adopt for people to adopt you shouldn't be allowed to "buy it" you should just be able to fill out the form like usual.

I also feel that the adopt time should be longer..then 10 days because most the time it takes certain equids that long to be judged. I do think the breeding time is perfect though.

A bit late again, at work, but I do kinda agree with a couple of the posts. If the custom donation pool thing goes through then I don't think special customs should be included in that. I think that it should just be regular customs. I think that the special customs (roans(?), dragons, appys, chimeras, etc) should be kept for the things like the 200 challenge and stuff that are a little harder to win, make it so you have to actually earn them like everyone else and makes them keep their rarity.

I also don't think adopts were ever mentioned guys. I don't think that is what horsy meant. All she mentioned was customs and breeding slots so I don't think you have to worry about the adoption side.

As awesome as this idea sounds, I think I have to side with the No's. As a couple people have already mentioned, customs are special and while it would be fanfreakingtastic to own one, especially of mixed specialty (black leopard appy with skelly quip MMMM....), they would definitely lose that special spark that makes them truly unique within the community. Also, as Bentley pointed out, not all of us have the money/parental funding to afford a custom if one were to be auctioned, etc. The way things are now, I only have so much wiggle room for "fun" things, and knowing the nature of auctions, fun could go from 0 to 60 in a matter of seconds. Therefore, I am against the idea.

However, to make these mixed customs available to everyone regardless of financial standing, might I suggest one be released as an adopt? Like, blank or covered lines as with the Christmas quids, and people have to tell what coat color, quip, etc. they'd like among other things. And to make this special, only one would be released per year, perhaps made by horsy herself to keep things fair amongst the artists. Again, just a suggestion. I'm only a pathetic little Shield after all. <3
I am no longer on CS.

Please don't PM me about trades, Khims, WMEs, or any other business.

That is a really interesting idea XD I actually kinda really like it, I don't know how practical it would be but I really like the idea.

I think that if horsy wants to a gain some profit, usd or da points she should just offer art commissions. Rather then offering customs. Customs are meant to be special and earned, if she opens them up people that aren't in the community will be after them throwing their money just for some snazzy new character they'll never use. But commissions, will not only get around and draw more attention to herself its a piece of special art.

Horsy could always set rules? And maybe there can be a 2-3 limit of custom "buying" . Because the same group of people win everything. I am TIRED of it. The same people win the same art competitions etc. An we alllllll know some of us aren't that good at art and we know we aren't gonna win. And the 200 challenge (it would be more equids now ) I feel like it's not gonna happen again. Because it's Been what 1-2 years since it opened? And people are procrastinating finishing it ... The same people get gifted customs etc. It shouldn't be base on how much art you do of your equids. How much your online/ post etc. This I why I like the idea. For people who can't art can buy a custom and for people who don't sit on the computer long enough to get a breeding can buy a breeding. And more artist would solve the problem we could have artists who specially do payment orders etc. People would get breedings done faster. People wouldn't have to complain and be upset about never getting there breedings.

I like the idea of having artists that do payment breedings/customs specifically, but if that's the case then the payment should go partly to the artist and partly to horsy, as a way of keeping new innovations coming and giving back to our current artists.

I do agree with this. Lifting the no profit rule for art would work, or she could just reserve that right for herself. I am sure people would love to have art from horsy of their equids.

Then again, I am one of those people that tends to stick with the "don't fix it if it isn't broken" lines of thinking... so...

I like the idea of the avaliable option to pay for breedings but not so much customs. I worked my butt off to get Joker and it doesn't seem right to just allow rare customs to be bought. If they aren't rare customs, then I wouldn't mind at all because they wouldn't have the special traits that were rewards for the 200 challenge. I'd rather you open the challenge for other users rather than offering customs.
