From what I understand from what very little knowlage I have about animating, it can take awhile.
Just think about it for a sec, you have all the main ponies that will be in the episode that day, every little eye move and hair bonce is drawn and animated. Then the background ponies and what they do. They draw the actuall background. Also the voice acting, sometimes you have to work around the voice actors time. Or if they get a cold or sore throat. Then think about writing the story line, most of the time there is parts in the story they dont add in caz it does not fit. They add in the cute little jokes. Then you have to edit it and I beieve it has to be approved for TV(not sure on that part so dont quote me on it). So it can take awhile, though I dont mind knowing the longer they take, the better the episodes will be.

Does anyone else get the warm fuzzies at any MLP song? Or am I just a big bag of feels? XD
Same here.

Not an official MLP song but Lullaby for a Princess. I've been practicing it for a cover I'll put up on Youtube and sometimes I get so into it I start tearing up.
Although I'm the youngest of the two kids in my family (got a big sister) I really don't know what I'd do if I lost my sister. We're so close like the princesses that I can't imagine how painful a choice it would be to cut someone you love out of your life. That's what I've been trying to channel in my cover.
Oh, that song is just so beautiful. I'd love to cover it myself, but I'm just terrible with adding my voice to music in editing programs(and the sing's a little low for my vocal range. I can reach the notes, but it's difficult). Anyway, I absolutely adore that song and it gives me so many feels. Good luck, I'd love it if you posted a link to your cover!
I second this. I love that song, along with the moon rises.
I would love to hear it when you are done.
