For the first year or so that I've had Muri, she was male. A month or two ago, for a reason I'm not really sure of, Muri decided she'd prefer to be female. I'm also female. nwn

Muri's never really had a distinct voice. She talks to me and I project her like usual, but I can't really hear a separate voice. If I had to describe it, it sounds like my voice, but also just words without a voice.

As I said, if anyone would like to ask questions about tulpas, I'd be happy to answer them. Also, there's an IRC chat server but I can't remember it right now x3 If you go there, I'm Jackdaw or [S]Jackdaw. The folks there are relatively nice, but sometimes its inactive and everyone's afk.

It's okay for your dæ to have a similar voice to you. We've actually been working on voice lately, and Sol's voice is deeper now. But even then, it isn't completely different. It doesn't matter as much as sentience and projection, but its a nice thing to work on.

Hmm, I see Phinx as male, like of course, he's not fully 'male' in a sense, but I don't really see him as genderfluid/genderqueer. I think his demeanour is very masculine, and his voice has always been a deepish sort of tone, but always very distinctively male. I don't think I went with the traditional daemon or anything, it was just as soon as I first projected him, Phinx was male. I do prefer him that way, because it gives us both a unique sort of chemistry, and nice perspective. Of course, if he was female, a lot of things would be very different, not for worse however, it's just probably not something I'd be comfortable with. Inside I don't really feel... feminine I guess, even though I'm female by default.

From what I've grasped, a tulpa is essentially a daemon without the spiritual or internal link. Basically a projected being, but a separate entity from oneself. They sound interesting, but I think I would find it difficult having both a dae as well as a tulpa. I think I would find it tricky keeping a tulpa a separate entity - Phinx is essentially me, as well as himself, which makes things a little easier.

I'm curious however, how did you all find your dae's name? For me, I searched wildly for a unique name, it being many many weeks before I settled upon one. However, I took a liking to "Seresarophinx' but found it too long, and after messing around for a little bit I subtracted the 'sere' and went just for 'Sarophinx'. I then thought of changing it, but found myself unable, for I and my dae had taken an immense liking to it. I'm just curious on how everyone found their dae names, for most are very unusual and most certainly unique.

I really can't imagine Dael being female. I just automatically projected him as male. And for the name, we were throwing sounds around the first night I had him, and came up with Dael pretty quickly. Its similarity to daemon made me a bit uncomfortable at first, but we got too attached to the name to change it. Of course, he recently told me it was just a nickname, but we don't know the real name yet.

I only got into tulpamancy a few days ago, and since I don't have much time, all I've done so far is make a wonderland. Dael was a bit worried about me having a tulpa at first, but once he realized I'm going to wait a while before forcing and the wonderland was for him too, he was fine with it. And I noticed there wasn't a tulpa thread here. I would make it, but I'm just now learning about it

Sol was always and always has been male. I stuck true to the norm for HDM dæs and projected him as male. I would be too uncomfortable with a female dæ, I think. However, his gender is irrelevant to his character.

Speaking of names, Soleriol stuck before I could get a chance to properly think about it! Sol liked his name as soon as it popped up on the dæmon name generator we found, and it could be easily shortened. I found it pretty quickly, since it felt weird having a dæ without a name. I suppose its in our nature, as humans, to name everything.

And Tyger, that sounds amazing. I would totally join the thread! Although, I'm debating whether to stick with my daemon or also continue with my tulpa before things get too crazy... it's a lot to balance, my fictive, daemon, and tulpa... aha. I keep ending up talking to one more than the other, and switching weirdly when I remember to... ^^;

Dael calls my parents 'your mom/dad' or 'mom/dad', and my little brother by his name or 'hon' which I find adorable

Oh, jeez. Sy barely talks about my family, but when he does he says things like "our mom" rather than "your mom" which always strikes me as silly. It's not inaccurate, but it's amusing.
He calls my sister by her name. Nothing else, just her name. We don't talk about her much so it's probably just from lack of chance to grab somethin else.

he calls mum "mum", i call my dad papa and so does he, he calls my stepdad and stepmum by their names (as do i) and my siblings by their names.

Hmm, Phinx rarely names them. Usually just as 'he' or 'she' because usually I introduce the topic first, or I'm thinking about one of them before he can interject. We often talk with just images and sometimes leave words out without realising it ;v;
