What are the top tips on writing your character's website?

For the love of all that is holy, no drop down tabs! There are plenty of ways to organize a character site that are pretty and practical, drop down tabs are ugly, a pain to navigate, and completely impossible if you're on mobile.

Make important information easily accessible. Put all of a character's information on one page, and I suggest having the characters' basics first, with more in depth stuff separate. Name, gender, species/breed, and simple personality should be easily accessible. This especially helps artists - your characters' chinese zodiac, middle name etymology, and preferred type of toothpaste isn't really the kind of stuff artists need to know for drawing your character and it can be a pain trying to muddle through the details to find the basics. I'm not saying you shouldn't add this stuff - just put it in a different section or something. This is an example of what I do, though I'm planning on adding simple (~5 word) personalities to the basics.

And that's pretty much it.

for gods sake please, this, this so much. Drop down tabs are a pain, and they take such a long time to go though. I'm so turned off when looking through a website if they have these tabs, generally I hardly bother unless it's 100% necessary.
Please don't ever do this unless you have like an all over total of ten characters.
