Hmm well, I don't think there's a huge pressure in desperately going out to search for your true form. I mean, an osprey pretty much sums me up, though there are other forms that work too. In my opinion, I think that as you get more accomplished at understanding and projecting your dae sometimes spontaneously takes on random forms which are oddly fitting. I'm a bit of a marten person as well, but I've always had an affinity for birds and eagles and hawks seem very fitting to my personality. There's no rush, but I think really discovering your true form is good for you, just don't make it forced or awkward.
edit:; does anyone know where one could find a sheet of 'traits' for each group of animals?; as in a list of traits for feline daes, canid daes, bird daes etc

Ah, thanks for the replies everyone! I have perfectionist issues, so not having a form to settle on for the time being is driving me mad... bad habit, I know. ;w; But after looking at pages and pages and endless animal analysis threads, I think I've finally settled on the snow leopard. It fits the best, and although I've found a lot of other animals that could work, I feel the most connected and just... "right" with this animal. There are a few aspects that make me go "huh..." and still have a few doubts, but for now I think we are both going to settle on this. I also think I'm gonna keep the name "Ki" for now, too.
Although... this leads me to another question: How do you guys narrow down your options? I found multiple animals that could work for me, but it was hard knowing which weren't the true ones... if that makes sense. I think I've kinda figured it out for now, but still... ;w;

I think it's mainly just about reading them again and again and - if we're so lucky that it's one of the new analyses - we can use our other personality types to rule out some. My MBTI personality is INFP, so if I see that an animal is INFJ og ENFP or whatever, it likely won't fit me. Unfortunately most of the old analyses didn't include any personality types, so with them, you just have to have a lot of patience ;u;

I've been going through every animal (well, at least glancing at the MBTI and core traits) and listing the ones that seem to fit. Then I'll mark off the ones that don't fit as much and eventually get it narrowed down.

You can go by, as said above, the MBTI charts if you like, but personally, I think generally if you know yourself well enough you can just go 'I am this kind of person'. Some people are birds, some are cats, others are small mammals, some things just feel right. I don't think there are many forms where every single trait fits, though 95% should, so like you did, you have to go with what feels right. I have a tendency to choose birds of prey over other forms because of the common attributes of these: a pride of honour, need of alone time (solitary) and usually quite stoic and apathetic around others. I find that if the genus of an animal has certain traits that all fit you they are better than others with exemption by species etc
Just go with what feels right, and what you enjoy. You might fit a sheep, but not necessarily like that form as much as another, which fits a little less. THat;s okay!

Though we would like a form that fits us really well, and could find one that's better, Muri really likes her fox form currently. It does fit quite well, but I'm sure there are other forms that would fit more. We have tried this rodent-like creature for a form (I'm not really sure what species) but she prefers her usual form.
Thinking about it now, I am quite like a fox in ways. nwn
Haha, I'm INFP too >u<

We thought we might be some kind of canine, or ungulate, but neither quite fitted. It was until someone suggested tanagers that I found my current form, but it won't stay the same for long as I'm far from settled.
As Verdy, Aisling, Sky and Minty have already said, you just need to keep looking. If you find an animal has at least one or more traits in common, write it down. Find the ones with the most traits that match you. Using the MBTI typing is a good way to narrow the thousands of options down, however, don't rely on it. I'm INTP, but some forms are too introverted for me.

Thank you for the tips everyone! I will write down the animals I was thinking could work later (groundhog and red panda were the main other two). For now, I believe Ki has settled in his snow leopard form, but I'm still going to be on the lookout for other animals. My personality type is ISTJ, and most of the animals I looked at with this trait were pretty similar for me, which is nice - it makes things a bit easier. I was surprised, as most rodents or otherwise small creatures didn't work, and the disloyal thing doesn't exactly sound like me... but then again, it depends how I look at it. Also the confident thing (I'm not quite sure I'm that confident). Also the oppurtunist (think I spelled that wrong...) thing. -shrugs- Should have known I was gonna get a cat of some type, though. X'D
TL;DR - Ki is going to stay in this form for now, as it does fit rather well, but we are also going to try and keep our eyes open for other animals that could work better... as I believe that this isn't his very true form. But we'll see.
