Unless you count the one time I projected Tae shoving his snout into a piece of cake, no, he doesn't. Usually he only takes mild interest in what I'm eating; although if I'm craving a certain food, he craves it too.

Hello new-mians! (Sol doesn't think that was very good) I'm Tyger, though you can call me Ty, Chroma or Starr. I've been a dæmian for almost a year now, and I'm celebrating that with my luscious and lovely dæmon, Soleriol. Do call hin Sol, though - he doesn't like full names.

*waves* Hello, I'm Sol, your average unimpressive, sarcastic, dæmon-tulpa hybrid thing with no particular form, although I'm more dæmon than tulpa, and we believe in the scientific theories of tulpamancy - no magic for us. You might see us from time to time, but we aren't active members here. Well, I'm not, anyway. We tend to lurk.

I'm a big genderqueer baby and my daemon's name is Sytrinicco. Call me anything. Literally anything. CS is the only place I go by Sibilant, and that's just cause it's a cool sounding word. You might see me as Snorkel Sprite or variations thereof elsewhere--feel free to say hi if you do. I've got an anxiety disorder and will almost never approach someone else.

Sy is pickier with names than me. He's pickier with everything than I am. He's definitely not much like me; he's the one who's constantly scolding me for the things we both know are bad ideas, and the one who reminds me to do something if I forget to, and basically the part of me who accepts and handles responsibility well. Now if only he would do my homework for me...
He'll go by Sy if nicknames are necessary, but he isn't even that big a fan of that one--kinda the opposite of your Sol, Tyger.
He'll never admit it, but Sy also likes to talk to people even if he tends to leave most of it to me. He can be a good conversationalist. Mostly what I'm saying is talk to us we're lonely babies.

I've been a daemian for. Well. A long time tbh. My first post in this thread was in 2010 (and I never want to talk about 2010). Since then I really haven't talked much, and I've developed a few bad habits with Sy (Sometimes I have entire conversations with him. Forgetting he exists. Oops). Buuut that doesn't change that I've recognized him for five years even if I haven't been doing everything right. We're still exploring forms a little, still, but I'm quite certain we've got coyote pinned.

Nah. Sy's never shown much interest in food at all. I suppose he's too focused on making me remember to eat. Pfft.

Also, tulpa.info is where I got my information. It's got a lot of FAQs and it's pretty easy to find the answers to most questions.

I've been a dæmian since October of last year, so I have things figured out but I'm still pretty new. My nerdy little dæmon is Dael (it's a nickname, but we don't have the name yet). He's usually a gecko, red tailed hawk, snow leopard, or wolf. He's much more extroverted and reasonable than I am, but just as nerdy and protective.
We're still trying to figure out my real form, but right now we're thinking it's a snake, which is a form he doesn't take very often. Oops.

I'm Minty, and my daemon is Muri (not short for anything). She's very happy with being a red fox or other colour variants, though we have considered rodents. (the forms she usually took before foxes were rodents)
I've been a daemian since October the year before, so a year and 4 months. We did have a few months where we stopped projecting and talking so much, but it's been about a year since then and Muri wouldn't like to stop talking.
I have considered changing her name to something more meaningful (Muri was just a random name I put together) but both of us feel a little uncomfortable at changing her name.

Not really. Sometimes I experiment with how I can project her, and I'd try to project her eating, but besides that she doesn't eat.

hello! my name is Leah, and i'm a cat. my daemon's name is Brinninger but i call him Gerald. his CIE day is 1/8/10, so i've been a daemian for almost 5 years now! we were stable as a nebelung cat until recently, we started looking into forms again. i don't project him much, although when i do he's a nebelung cat or a barn owl. we talk 24/7, though!!! and have been for almost 5 years. i don't know what i'd do without him!

Welcome to everyone and happy birthday to you, Aisling! ^^ Welp, since everyone else is doing formal introductions, I might as well join in :3

I'm Verdande, but you can just call me Dandi or Verd or whatever nickname you come up with. It's my usual screenname, though I also go by Shanta Claus (because I love Darren Shan's books and short stories) and Hostile Popcorn (a reference to the buttery popcorny smell binturongs produce). Back in the days when I was a newb on teh interwebs, I went by zodiac-tiger, but it's very rare that I use that now. (please talk to me about books)
I've been projecting Tos ever since I first read The Golden Compass (which is probably about eight years ago?), though I first began seriously exploring daemonism in the Fall/Winter of 201, and only really found Tos around January. But since neither of us remember the date, we just put our CIE-day as New Years Morning :3
Tos is my rational side. When I'm afraid of non-existant ghosts and made-up worst case scenarios, he's there to remind me that we live in the real world and that the ghastly stuff from books can't harm me. Admittedly, he can be a bit of a joker too, taking forms that he knows I'll dislike, occasionally playing tricks on me, and really just being a fluffy ball of buttered popcorn and black humor.

So... does your daemon's true form have to be exactly true to your personality? Because in all honesty, I think a red panda or something would be better for Ki (switched his name over to that for now), but he seems to be defiant in his possum (I don't think he's an opossum anymore, either... maybe?) form instead. It feels much more right, more so than anything else I have tried before, although... he is a rather small possum. He's not too large, and a bit different than average. Is this OK too?

Thanks to anyone who can help us out. ;w; Do you think he's hiding his true form and using a new one, or is a possum my true daemon? I will still be open for other potential forms, of course, as we have just started this but... still. A possum just doesn't seem very fitting for me, but at the same time it's wonderful... if that makes any sense. But I'm rambling now, I apologize. ;w;

Earlier in the daemon community (and by earlier, I mean, like seven years ago), your dae's form was determined largely by feeling, but as the community grew and matured, people started to realize, that it was not an accurate way to fin your form. Nowadays, form finding is based 100% on the personality of the person and behavior of the animal. A couple years ago, it was also based on appearance and cultural depictions, but now it's solely on behavior, and yes, it has to fit 100% (or at the very least 99%). I know it's a pain in the butt, but form finding is both long and hard work. It's not something you can do in a month or two (I mean, Rainbow Dash, the mod of this group, has been a daemian for what, eight years? Maybe more?? And they're only just now starting to find their one true form). :3

Oh, I see, hmmm... Oh wow, really? I didn't realize this! Alright... well, today I've been checking out an extensive list (specifically from this thread, and it's coming along slowly but surely. I have a feeling it's going to take me years to find my daemon's true for, but yeah... so far (as of the time I'm writing this) the snow leopard seems to fit pretty well, but that will probably change as I continue reading and studying. Every animal that does fit me has a few aspects that don't work out, which is a problem... again, thank you for all the help! ;w;
