Koiyote,Thank you C: -- I've been really playing around with colours a lot lately, so that comment means a lot.
And hrmm, now that you mention it, his chin does seem a bit off : O -- I think it may have to deal with the placement of the mouth? Mouths have always been a weak point for me. xD
Ohh, I really like that character you drew, Koi! : O -- you got lucky buying him up! :3
I really love how you did his expression and ears. < 3
Hrmm, I think maybe his haunches and hind legs seem a bit awkward? Maybe too close to the front legs?
Looks excellent besides that; good job on shaping the front legs. :3
Moonstar,Hrmm, I did add scales, but only a few-- perhaps I should have added more? xD -- I was being a bit lazy with it there, and think that I probably should have added some scales around the connection from human to fish.
As for his expression, I don't think he'd have been underwater long enough to be turning blue yet. Maybe on the verge of running out of breath, but not quite to going back up. If he were blue, then I would think that he'd have a pained expression to match, not quizzical, if you get what I mean. So I don't think that makes much sense for it :I -- Maybe if I had made his mouth actually open, and his features more distorted, that would be a nice touch, but I sort of thought that he'd still have some breath in him.
Hrmm, for your deer-- very nice pose for it. C:
I think my main critiques would be that his body seems a bit unshapely though, especially with how the back bends, and the legs connect. Deer don't really bend their backs downwards-- actually, it's more of the opposite. Slopes up towards their rump some. The body itself also is often thicker, almost like a cat-- well, in the way that it's "boxed."
For the legs-- the front leg closest to us seems to have the most issues. it doesn't bend in the correct direction, and looks more like a human leg. Instead of making the leg bend back, it should bend forward right after the shoulder area, and then downward. For an example--
