I just took a personality test that was recommended to me (to help find my daemon), and I can say that this fits me to pretty well. Not sure if it's a 100% though, hmmm... Hopefully the link will work...

Now, for the results, I've been looking into the different animals... and an opposum sounds right. A snake, ladybug, and spider don't... now I haven't really looked into them yet, but they just don't sound right, if that makes sense. I've been looking into all kinds of animals, and a red panda also sounds promising, but no. I think an opposum may be right.

Anyways, I'm rambling on now. Is it alright to give your daemon a form for the meantime, and as time passes on it can change if need be? Is that how it works? Also, I found quite a few animals that sounds like they could work for me. Does anyone have any tips on how to narrow that list down?

Also, I was thinking... I was beginning to develop a tulpa, which was going to be a sort of lemur/raccoon hybrid (it just worked out that way, I envisioned it and boom). Which is kinda similar to an opossum... could there be a connection there, or am I overthinking things again?

I just took that personality test myself, Eclipse! I was wanting to see if anything about my daemon's form had changed much recently, and as it turns out it hasn't. I'm not quite to a point in my life where I can think of myself as settled, but it appears that I'm beginning to stable out a little bit. Gotta feel proud of that.

The suggestions for me were coyote, fox, and raccoon, which were all things Sy and I had previously been looking at. Thanks for posting that link; it gave me a really good place to start thinkin on this stuff.

There could very well be a similarity between what your tulpa decides to look like and what your daemon's form is. Perhaps you identify with that kind of creature very well C:

Hm, I suppose you are right. Huh. I know this isn't a tulpa discussion thread, but I can't decide... as dragonkin, I'm debating whether a dragon companion would be good or not, or if what I was going for would be better. I'm just wondering if two rodents (they are rodents, right? Well, actually maybe not... er... let's say small fuzzy creatures) would be too much? I dunno. I also don't want my fictive, tulpa, and daemon to get into any arguments or anything... /sigh (this is all kinda confusing, although it's fun too >w<

Ahahaah, it's a tough choice to make there. I'm the sort to say trust your intuition on this--go with your gut. If it seems like they might get into arguments, you might wanna start by making adjustments there. Nip the problem at the bud!

I read through analyses on the suggestions I got and Sy and I feel very strongly about the coyote form. Raccoon also fits, but we also don't get the right sorta feeling from it. Emotional me, trusting those feelings ahhahaha. But it hasn't changed much from what it is before, so I feel like perhaps our form is getting more stable. I'm pretty excited about that!

OK! I will keep that in mind. I just don't want a rehash of when I believed Spyro was my fictive - let's just say Sinon and him did not get along, and I basically had to kick him out... yeah... but hopefully this works out! ;w;

That sounds super cool! OK, I will keep that in mind. I just need a name for my daemon, now. I'm going to keep him (I think it's a he?) in opossum form for now, as it seems to fit very well and feels pretty "right". I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled, though. But OK, I will! ^^

Naming a daemon is tough business. Sy's name just sorta came to me, but it's probably a miracle it stuck around. Names are important things--maybe try to think of something that sounds about right, and perhaps change it a bit if it starts feeling wrong. There's no mistake you can make that can't be fixed.

Thank you so much! Do you have any tips for me? They are, ahhh. Because for now he's right here with me, we've started talking a bit and this is really cool. He just needs a name now... ;w; So far he enjoys being perched on my shoulder with me, which is kinda cool. ^^

The only tips I can offer would be to find something that fits him best. If you can, you might want to consult with him about it. I started by throwing random letters together tbqh, but I ended up with something that's stuck for five years. Don't try to force the name. Find something you like. This is all the vaguest advice possible, but it's really all I have. Wish you the best of luck.

edit;; In other news, I'm really not quite sure whether to think of us as stable or not. Cause this form fits us, and it's probably fit us for quite awhile if I consider the time I spent without much daemon stuff. I feel like I should wait a few more weeks at the very least, but when something feels right to me it really feels compelling to do it. I'll wait a bit, I think, but I don't see any drastic enough change coming up in the future to make this form obsolete.

For the first half year, Tos was nameless (we rarely call each other by name, so it didn't really matter), and for the next half I called him Ramse because I had a dream where a silver fox told me the name (I'm now considering whether that was spiritual, but let's not get off topic c;). Eventually, after reading through billions of old, strange names, and mixing and matching syllables, we ended up with Erastos, a variant of Erastus/Erasmus, which means 'beloved' ^^ But that doesn't mean it'll take as long for everyone else! My best tip is sorting through lists of names and asking your dae what s/he likes ;u;
