So,me,arv,and my fac officer named Chain were bored. {Bad thing!!}
And so we decided to raid factions. We raided this huge one. It was
insanely big and we ended up burning down the whole thing.So,we were
screaming and burning things and stealing stuff..and the fac's owner
happens to log on and he's a server admin. o.o So now,we are being hunted
by an admin. Great. I've claimed my whole house,locked everything,but im still
worried. He cant use his admin powers to kill us,but im scared he might.
Any ideas? TeefusCraft. I'm Epic_jinx. Chain is suppose to become a mod,
so they'll be evenly matched.

Try allying the faction. That way, they won't try to hunt you down. Even try giving some of their stuff back. c:

Worst mistake of my life: Inviting people from CS to the server. You griefed us for no reason, right?

Well, anyway, since I've learned that being griefed takes a harsh toll on the little amount of sanity I have left, I've decided to quit that server and move to one that doesn't allow griefing. I still have a bunch of stuff worth keeping, so that'll probably go out to random people on the server who seem awesome enough to have my beloved stuff.
Maybe I should just quit the Internet too but would I ever do that? Nope.

Turns out there is now gonna be a mass exodus of some of the best people on the server. The owner ain't gonna like it, but anything to get away from everyone else. PeanutButter is dead now, but it won't be down for long.

If what my boyfriend said was true, the owner won't feel as much of a need to keep the server up in our absence. We may, in fact, ruin it for everyone. But that's just if he actually liked us that much, which I'm sure he did

This might be dumb, but could someone explain what factions actually are and how they work? x) A lot of people seem to be doing them and it sounds like it should be cool but I don't wanna jump into it without knowing anything.

Oh, and I've also heard the term 'griefing' or whatever it's called on a lot of servers and I don't get what that means. Sorry for being a Minecraft noobie. xD

Factions are sort of a team based PVP server. A faction is a group of people- a team of sorts- that work together, have a main base normally, gather materials and such, and will work together to either ally with other factions or fight other factions through raids, PVP, etc..

"Griefing" means to purposefully ruin someone else's build. Like taking their blocks, burning stuff, using TNT on their land, etc..

Raiding doesn't nessacerily equal griefing o.o especially in large mod packs such as voidswrath people raid dungeons sometimes eachother. but dungeon raids are the best o.o Dungeon raids FTW

Factions, in some cases, can also be peaceful too, and focus on building. The pvpers more often have the hard to break into bases, and peacefuls might have some prettier builds at times, and peacefuls are in truce with everyobe. They can't fight unless they're in a designated area, can't raid other factions, no griefing, and no enemies or allies.

What people don't seem to know is that griefing is actually making the game unpleasant for another player. Yes, destroying buildings and all is included in that definition, but a lot more is included too.
