Could my FMA obsession help me get back into Spirit Tracks...? Those jokes never get old.

EDIT: Also, according to Official Nintendo Magazine, the company that made the Solatorobo openings also made the Death Note anime. So there you go. Please make a Solatorobo anime a reality... it was made by the same comany as .hack... and there's even mangas of it, albiet Japan-only ones... plus more people will know about my favourite video game... but then again... some video game animes suck...

Speaking of animes based on video games about anthropomorphic animals, should I give Utawarerumono a second chance?

Depends.
It's yuri, so that's a consideration.
It's about 12 assassins who are sent to an all-girls' school in the same class as 1 target. Whoever kills the target successfully gets whatever they want. One of the assassins ends up falling in love with the target and devotes herself to protecting her from the other assassins.
Story-wise, I like it. It's not in-your-face yuri. It's pretty dark, and a lot of people are calling it the yuri child of Danganronpa and Mirai Nikki. Each episode so far seems to focus on one character, with that character's song as the ED, which is pretty cool. I'm curious as to how that theme will continue.

I'm curious: why is the target even in that class? Does she get a lot of money if she survives or what?

Originally, she wasn't supposed to know about the assassins. But that didn't work out; she figured it pretty easily. We don't know why, exactly, there's a contract on her head, but it's a test for the assassins. She stays in the class because she's determined to graduate from that class from to prove that she can be independent and to stop putting other people in danger for protecting her, basically. Assassins have been after her bloodline for a long time (for whatever reason), and she lost her family to them.

Have you gotten any FMA figurines?

Since you mentioned you have an obsession with FMA, why not get FMA figurine or bedroom poster for your wall?

^ OK... Or I could just DRAW stuff! Or something. Or maybe just make an FMA skin for PFQ, although there is that Kesenai Tsumi one I made.

On a related note, anime songs are usually just fitting music that comes out at around the time the anime credits get made. But some, like Kesenai Tsumi (FMA03 ED1), are so fitting that it's got to be more than a coincidence.

I used to be online a lot here, but I became bored of this site and I don't like some of the rules here.
Now I'm pretty busy as well. You can still try to message me though, I might be online again now and then : )

I'm pretty sure that anime companies ask the artists to make songs for a particular anime. They'll tell the artist a brief summary of the main concepts in an anime and then the artist will write a song that will fit. To me, it seems impossible that anime companies buy the song for a series after the artist has already written it, because as you say, it simply can't be a coincidence that they fit as well as they do.

current top anime(s) on my waiting list:

    dangan ronpa
    durarara!
    deadman wonderland
    psycho-pass

    where should i start?
i've finished off haikyu!'s current eps from my waiting list, and now i am stuck in the gutter.
if you do suggest i should start a certain anime first, i would like a pretty legit reason to accompany your opinion.

---// and just to be arbitrarily fair, i might end up finishing akuma no riddle (also on my waiting list) first.

I vote for either Psycho-Pass or Durarara. :P
Reason being that those are the two I've seen and can vouch for. Psycho-Pass was more engaging to me. It has a villain that one simply has to admire because he's that evil, good character development, nice music, suspense, and a good plot. That being said DRRR has a pretty nice plot to, but for me, it didn't come together until the end when my jaw dropped. I had a harder time getting through DRRR because the two most interesting characters to me: Shizuo and Izaya, were side characters. Still, the plot was interesting and the story moved along rather nicely.
