Marius is from Les Misérables, because we just thought it was a cool name and it clicked with him, plus it had no other associations for me other than the character Marius. I called him Nahuel back when I didn't consider him that real and he just had his nooby black jaguar comfort form, tried to make him be Antimony for a little while, which he hated and I had no idea how to shorten. Marius is just..him. And I can shorten it to Mar, which has a nice sound to it as well. ^^ It's apparently linked to Mars, the Roman god of war, but it has more of an "ocean" connotation for me, since I live next to Mexico and "mar" is "sea."

Jingxer's name was one I thought up myself a long, long time ago, and I never really found a use for it. He was originally named after a favorite video game character (because I am a complete nerd), and then one day we just decided he was Jingxer from now on.
And yeah.

As for that question, Ari was originally Arius as a filler name. After a certain point it stopped feeling right, but when we decided to change his name I couldn't bear to call him anything besides Ari so we built his name around "ar'. We threw a bunch of syllables together and came up with Twiarryn (Koarryn was a close second, I like names that start with K) and I decided to tack Ciar on the end because I've always liked the name. We've had brief crisses with Sardonyx, Xanthus and Artois but those have become the names of the headmate's daemons.

when I was little, I always thought of my daemon as one of my many imaginary friends. it wasn't until most of my imaginary friends went away/I outgrew them that I realized why Neo stayed, because he was my daemon. so with that said, his name was thought up when I was younger. Being a pokémon is about the as imaginative as being a real animal, if that was your point. Honestly I would never want to say "my personality and everything that makes up 'me' can be defined by this 2D creature that has very few traits that are actually analysable and even fewer that I actually do not interpret literally". But that's just me ;P

My friends don't really see the uniqeness of daemon names, so my best friends daemons names are Alex & Jonas xD They really need to read the series ^^;

Your dæmon's name doesn't have to be ZOMG YOONIQUE. I personally really like normal people names for dæmons, and my dæmon's name came from a quiz, so it's not unique at all. And there are people who have dæmons without names too.
