I've been lurking here for like three days, trying to decide whether or not to join in on this fun thread since all the TDfers that scare me are here. >_> I'm from over on TDF, where my username is Sheepdog, but please call me Kay. (Or Chaos, if you really want to) My daemon of one year is Twiarryn-Ciar, but he goes by Ari the majority of the time, and he's quite close to settling as a border collie (Hence my username).

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, as long as I don't run off forum with my tail between my legs. xD

Hi Kay I'm Lottie, daemon's Quikfen. And hi Taz and Jules! I saw you on last night but it was too late and I had to go to bed. D8<

As for shows that have a daemon-like spin to them, I like thinking of Ron Stoppable and his pet naked mole rat Rufus from Kim Possible (I like that show what <<;) as a human-daemon team, even if Rufus is a seperate character of his own. It's fun to think of if that way. And I cannot remember who brought this up years ago, but Garfield minus Garfield is amazing for that kind of thing.

This isn't even the hard part. XD Basically we're going to *try* to take a small amount of older shelter dogs, train them to the point where they can go into elderly homes (or, if we can't pull that off, homes with people who want the companionship of a dog but don't have either the strength or the time to train them), and along the way try to raise awareness for adoption in the city.

...We are in fact insane. >> As far as the proposal, we have to get it approved by the board at the school before we can start, which we really need to over the summer because we only have 18 months to do it.

That is an absolutely amazing project with such a noble aim to be starting up! I am in awe. I hope it's accepted, I mean it's for such a good cause and if you could get local press when it gets up and running... 8D . I hope you succeed!

That's awesome, Com! <3 I'd love to have the time and driver's license required to do that kind of thing. I'm hoping to do something like it during the gap year I'm gonna take between next year and college. I hope you guys are successful! :33 (Carol on TDF is a super awesome dog trainer if you ever have any issues... and also I can help but I'm still a dog-trainer-in-training. ;P)

I hope we do, too. 8D So I'm less stressed about actually getting it approved and more stressed about how I'm the one who has to get a sponsorship from Petsmart and convince the shelters to give us dogs. XD

My random question:
How did you get the name for your daemon? I think someones already asked this though >_<

I was really into Mythology (all kinds) and I was interested in Greek mythology the most. I was reading "Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Ultimate Guide" when my daemon first spoke directly toward me. I looked at the Greek names in there, skipping all the Olympian gods names and really liked Adonis.
