Well, at Build-a-Bear you choose weather you want it hard or soft, mine's in the a little bit harder than in the middle.

Also, there's a sentence or two about their arrival to BAB here. They will only be in stores until the 7th ( tomorrow, maybe? I'm sure they will be there longer. ), so make sure you get them quick! I'm not sure why it says that, though. No need to worry, they'll still be there.
