Lulz, best jackal quote ever. I'm watching a serious documentary clip about canids, and the narrator is going on about the different adaptations of the different species. Cape foxes have big ears to disperse heat, bush dogs have short legs to get through the undergrowth, wolves hunt in complex packs, and "jackals are much less social, but get by on personality alone." XD

Fake Edit: I wish jackals could be more shapely or something. They are like fugly coyotes.

I wish people knew something about raccoon dogs other than "D: omg they are skinned alive in china!" (they might be SOMETIMES, but just FYI, YOU RUIN A PELT BY SKINNING THE ANIMAL ALIVE. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW HARD IT IS TO GET A GOOD PELT FROM A DEAD ANIMAL? JAYZUZ.) and "heh heh heh. they have big balls." and maybe "heh heh heh. they drink a lot of alcohol."

The first thing I ever learned about raccoon dogs was that they hibernate. <3 It was in a dog encyclopedia I'd bought. There was a section in the beginning on wild canines.

What are some things about your form(s) that you dislike? Could be personality or perhaps about the animal itself.

I really wish I was more honest at times, especially with my feelings. I manipulate, I lie, I play the system for my gain, I toy with people's feelings to hurt them if they really rub me the wrong way, I'm vindictive, and I hate it. As much as I try to change, it's just in my nature.

Welcome to Taz and Alqui. ^^ I'm Com and the daemon's Marius, stable New Guinea Singing Dog. I've been popping around TDF for a while now, though I doubt we've met yet.

What I don't like about my form...hmm...probably that they're so rare/nearly extinct? XD They're hard to find info on and the best pictures of them I've found are on flickr. I also don't like the scarceness of black and tan Singer pictures, since I love that color combo and apparently they come in it but I've found maybe 3 pictures of that color. Personality-wise I wish I could be a little more upfront about my issues and that I could remain motivated with something for longer. I'll intensely focus on something, but the moment some other thing catches my attention I can't go back to the other thing.

What I don't like about my form is that their faces can look so flat. Sometimes they look vaguely like persians, if you catch it right... I've never been much of a fan of that look. XD

MeiTay, if you look into wild canines I'd be glad to help you out. I've looked at almost every wild canine for myself and now I'm getting acquainted with the wolf sub-species.

I haaaate how solitary my forms are. I would love to act like I really am in crowds of strangers and now care about making a fool of myself. And my forms are super skinny (like me wth) and like one of them is scruffy looking which cracks me up. "OHEY LOOK HOW SCRUFFY THAT IS. HE JUST GOT DRIED WITH A TOWEL 8'D" xD

Why cant you be a real canine? Like Kel, I have looked at pretty much every canid out there, so I'd be glad to help. Real canines are preeeetty. No tulip-heads for them.
