Actually, none of my characters have the same name that I do. I find it odd, and I don't know why. I just wouldn't feeling comfortable having someone calling a neon-coloured wolf "Amber", and not be talking to me ;A;
But onto the second part:
Jinx's name came from the idea of a spell gone wrong. When I commisioned my friend to design her, I threw out 3 random colours {Neon Green, Purple, and Blue}, to see what she could do. The idea of having three things that weren't supposed to go together reminded me of a spell; a hex; a Jinx. Something that could go right or horridly wrong.
Joni- Simple enough. I wanted a boyfriend for Jinx with a similar name. Same first letter, same number of letters. Boom.
Analisa was the name of a girl in my french class at the time. It was really Anabelle or something, but you had to replace your name with a common name in the other language and say that it was your name in french. I was never keen on the idea, as you name would be the same in another language. But Analisa was a pretty name, so boom.
