In Generation IV, they introduced a unique evolution method, Mantyke could only evolve into Mantine if you have a Remoraid in your party. They did something similar in Generation V, with Karrablast and Shelmet, and then again in Generation VI with Pancham, which needs a Dark type in the party in order to evolve. If they could do it with Mantyke, what was to stop them from doing it with Slowpoke? In the anime/manga lore, Slowpoke immediately evolves into Slowbro when a Shellder clamps down on its tail, or into Slowking when a Shellder clamps down on its head while its wearing a King's Rock? How hard would it be to make it so Slowpoke needs a Shellder in your party in order to evolve? You've already done it with Mantyke, so it can't be that hard.

I think that’s a really cool idea! The only reason why I think that they won’t do it is because it already has an evolution method
Maybe it could be like milotic where they did change it? But I doubt they would without a prominent reason like milotic’s was (no more competitions in future gens)

This is amusing. My friend had never played Pokemon in his life, but he's watched the anime for a long time. He recently got Pokemon Fire Red online, and started playing it. He texted me about a day after he got the game, and said that his Charmander had evolved mid-battle. He said that when Charmander reached level 16, the screen went black, and at first he'd thought the game crashed, but then it brought up the evolution cutscene. He was so impressed with how Pokemon evolved mid-battle like they do sometimes in the anime, that I had a lot of trouble telling him that it was probably hacked. I kind of feel bad for it, since he was having a lot of fun, and I'd personally love to see a Pokemon evolve before the battle is over, since with Pokemon that gain or change types upon evolving, it could effect the flow of battle. At first, he thought I was joking, but when I showed him multiple YouTube videos where Pokemon would evolve in the middle of a battle, and that all those games were fake, he was heartbroken, and mad that he got scammed by the online seller.

Hey all!
I have a few shiny stories to tell. I recently got shiny charm, and I've had somewhat good luck so far!
My first ever shiny; Wishiwashi. Was completely random, and I hadn't even gotten shiny charm yet. It was a really nice surprise! As I had been trying to get Mereanie for over 30 minutes. (I found out later that she can only be called in SOS battles pfft)
My second shiny and first hunt! That would be Pookie, my Cutiefly boy. I actually had been hunting the whole day for him; and eventually went to sleep after being exhausted. Then, after I had finished all my work in math class (I often bring my 3DS to school), I did ONE SOS call, and my special boy was shiny! I was so excited and happy, but I couldn't display my happiness, do to being in school.
Third! Shiny Petilil; this was actually super quick! She showed up within 100 calls. I was so surprised, I didn't even have much of a reaction. I named her Azalea! I felt bad for my best friend though. She was hunting Cotonee at the time; as she has Sun. It took her two days to finally get him.
Andd Fourth! Smeargle! Now, this guy was a pain. I had actually gotten him a total of three times. The first time, I had failed because I used false swipe and then switched out my pokemon before he used sketch, making him use struggle. Thenn, I accidentally ran away from the second one because of how excited I was. After a few upset tears, I took a few days break, and started again.. And the third time, I finally caught him! He was a pain to catch though.. I named him Oliver! I love my artist boy so much.

P.S. ,, I totally forgot about Pichu. The quickest hunt yet. Yeah! I got her in 50 calls. I was so excited! I named her KitKat, as it's my favorite candy, and Alolan Raichu looks like chocolate. (I'm on mobile, so it's a little hard to scroll up and write haha)

Now I'm currently hunting for Mudkip! I'm using the Masuda method. I'm on egg 155 right now, wish me luck all!
