I told a friend about this in October, and she said that her daemon was called Daymon... I think she's forgotten about him though, as she never brings the subject up.
I'd be nice to have someone I could talk to about this in real life. I sometimes wonder if anyone in my English class is a daemian, since the way I found this was through His Dark Materials, which we were studying.

I sometimes wonder the same thing! I usually try and project what i think my friends and other peoples daemons would be too.

I've been sort of stalking this thread a lot recently, so I thought I may as well start posting again c: I still consider myself a bit of a n00b on this kind of thing, although I am fairly familiar with the subject and I have been for about 2-3 years. I'm an unsettled Daemian, but I suppose that's to be expected as I'm under 18, and I hear that that's the age your Daemon usually begins to settle (for most people anyway, I might be wrong cx). Me and my Daemon have been talking a lot more recently, and he (or she, actually, I'm not entirely sure on that yet) tends to take the shape of: a red fox, an African pygmy hedgehog, a mouse, a short-tailed weasel and an Island fox. I'm also finding it quite hard finding a name for my Daemon, so if anyone has any tips on that then that'd be very much appreciated ^-^;

I'm in college - over 18 years of age - and my daemon still hasn't settled. XD It all depends on the person, honestly.

Hey, how many of you guys are on The Dæmon Forum? I love the site and I'm considering becoming active on it again, but I don't really have any friends on there or people I recognize. I've tried going on there a few times but I felt a little lonely and not totally a part of it so I went on hiatus.

I'm not on there. I don't see the point in making accounts on websites I'll rarely use...so I didn't make on on that forum.

Hello! I don't even have a voice for Muri yet, so don't worry. As for names, random syllables that sound nice tiger work well. Or a name you like, with a few letter changes? This could work for words in another language, too (Using a character as an example. Kumo = cloud in Japanese. Kumo - Kumi, to make it sound more feminine)
You both have to decide on a name, and if you don't like it, you can always change it!

I joined in October, became inactive not long after, then this month I joined again... But didn't go back on. Partly because it is a pain to type and answer the joining questions on there on a phone.

I think I'm reconnecting with Halogen. I certainly hope so, since I love him... Anyways congrats on settling! 8D

That's awesome to hear! =) How often do you two talk? Chi and I talk everyday, we don't always have lengthy discussions (except at night, when I'm not busy) but he's always chatting with me throughout the day. It's nice to know I have a friend who's a daemian as well ;D

Halogen seems to be mostly quiet, but he loves to laugh. I honk he'd be more outgoing around another daemon. He is very funny though, when he does talk. I also am projecting at least one other character/sona/whatever at the time as well, though.

hmm. Phinx has similar fears to me; but channels his fear differently to how I do, thus helping the two of us overcome any fear at all.

Biggest difference between your persona and your dae's?

Probably that when sarophinx begins stating something he doesn't like to go into detail and keeps everything sharp; I however -unless it is a certain subject- am quite the contrary.

ahh yes... Sarophinx likes to use the word 'perhaps' and uses it wherever possible...

No, not really, actually. I am very afraid of the dark, but whenever I get scared, Tos will just take the form of a dragon or a big dog to seem scarier and then tell me that everything is gonna be fine. It's nice to have him.

Biggest difference between your persona and your dae's?
He has way more control over life than I have (unfortunately for him, it's I who run the body). Right now he's actually telling me to finish my late homework before going to shool. I shoul probably listen to him.

Does your daemon have a phrase or word that they use often?
No, but he's often extremely sarcastic, and then softens up when he realizes that he might have said something wrong, and apologizes.

not really. for example i'm scared of talking to people, whereas ger's like "go for it!!! go talk to them!!" if i was like him, i'd be an extrovert rather than an introvert, ahaha. but with other normal fears... nah, he's not really scared of much.

as i said before, i'm an introvert, he's an extrovert.

not that i can think of, no.
