And for anyone who doesn’t want to follow the link, I was on iFunny today and saw a post about something playing one of the old Pokémon games, and the clip shows the person using the HM Cut to cut down the tall grass. Totally fake, right? I decided to try it myself in Emerald (which I’ve played through an emulator on my phone)

I’m like so upset because like oh my god I waded through so many pidgeys and starlys playing these stupid games when I could have just done this!

Yeah, the older games had that. I never got into the habit of using it, though: always found it much easier just run into the occasional battle than to keep opening the menu every step to cut the grass, haha. :')

That’s not too bad, but when your entire team is level 70+ and you don’t have repels, it’s a literal nightmare. At least it was for me

Hahaa, I found this out by accident playing Blue one day, in the grass right below Pewter City. I don't even know why I tried to cut it, but I nearly threw my Gameboy when the grass puffed away
