Update 11/29/19: At this time, please do not ask me for commissions. I may occasionally make posts offering free art, however. :3

OMG
Sorry this is off topic. XD I'm playing it now.
But uh, I have a question. I've been asking my Mum for Minecraft full version (I'm stuck with demo) and she said it would use up our Internet too much to buy it. I'm only half sure that doesn't have to be true - would it be possible to just buy it whilst logged in somewhere else, then log back in when we're on this computer with this WiFi? It'd be the full version here, right?
Sorry if that's badly phrased. XD I just realllllly want the full version and I need to convince Mum.
"hi, i'm G.B., one of Ember's real life cats.
just so you know, Ember is always looking for
missed monthlies on her wishlist.
feel free to shoot her a trade!
"hey, i'm Ember's other cat, Rosie.
if you're wondering, Ember's PM's are always
open if you have other questions or
just want to chat. she does not
take commissions anymore."

Grr....Baby zambies....
ANYWAYS. Minecraft is an online game, downloading it to the computer would take up wifi, but no more than playing the demo would. Once you download it, you can shut off your computers acces to wifi whilst playing, and it should run fine. That would be ofcorse after downloading it. It might be a bit laggy but it still works. And yes if you can take your laptop to say... a Starbucks and download it there, when you get home it should ready to play. Dose that help?
EmberWolf wrote:Yes, basically what Red said. Once you buy the full version, you can download it onto any computer off of minecraft.net when logged in to your Mojang account (buying the full version with the Mojang account will basically give you a pass to download the game anywhere). You HAVE to download it off of minecraft.net so it will use internet, because to my knowledge there is no physical copy of minecraft on a disc, however it really is not that much.
Once you download it onto your computer, you have it. The full version. And you don't need internet to play it after that, just play offline. Single player doesn't use any internet at all, and it won't be laggy unless your computer isn't up to specs (which it does not need much to be good enough), but that's a computer thing, not an internet thing. So if you don't plan on playing on any servers, you should be perfectly fine. Any worlds you saved are saved to the computer hard drive- not over the internet- so you don't have to worry about that either.
So yeah, basically what Red suggested, if your mom really is concerned about downloading it over the internet and surpassing your ISP's allowed data rates (which I highly doubt you'd hit while downloading the game), borrow the neighbor's wifi, go to a place with free wifi like Starbucks or McD's, and download it there. Once at home, it'll still be there, and you can still play. c:
