Is your Daemon constantly with you, or do they sometimes zone out for a while?
Kûn's always there at the edge of my mind just as much as any of my characters.
Occasionally he'll throw in a comment on something, but I don't constantly project/we're not talking 24/7.
He'd have a hard time trying to be in the spotlight all the time, seeing how many of my characters are just as talkative, if not more so xD
I mostly project him when I have nothing to do, and we talk to fill time when otherwise we'd be rather bored - like during a train ride.

What is your comfort form and why is it what it is?
Sarkûn has two comfort forms in addition to his stable form.
One is a red classic tabby cat. I don't really have any deep explanation for that one. I'm a huge fan of cats, and find this form very easy to project. It's also small enough to not be impractical anywhere.
When I first started projecting Kûn, cats were among the first forms I tried out, and somehow the domestic cat just stuck.
He didn't prefer any colour at first, but after a while it became pretty clear we had taken a liking to the red tabby x)
(Perhaps to separate him from our family's real cats (brown classic tabby, silver mackerel, brown mackerel, black-and-white), since it wasn't uncommon for me to be surrounded by them when sitting in the living room.)
Usually he's no specific breed, but seems to prefer short hair over long.
Anyway, the cat is an easy and convenient form.^^

The second one is a Phorusrhacos, a species of terror bird.
It basically combines my love for birds with that for prehistoric animals, and makes for a badass form to use when I need to be confident. Because seriously, it's an awesome feeling to walk along the street with a giant predatory bird by your side - even if no one else can actually see it xD
I always liked terror birds, and the first time Kûn took the form it was just for fun. But it turned out to be quite comfortable, and eventually became a major comfort form. Unfortunately it's a bit inconvenient in places like our flat or in a subway :c

There's some other forms that Kûn uses often, among them various rats, hummingbirds, swallows and parrots.



EDIT: By the way, do any of you guys know something about shrikes?
TDF only has an analysis on the Loggerhead Shrike (which apperently is outdated). I posted a request over there, but I'm not sure if anyone will take interest, or how long it'd take, so I was wondering if I could find out something elsewhere?
I'm not really good at analysing things all alone, so I don't really have a clue how to start.

Thing is, the Loggerhead Analysis had a lot of points that basically screamed "AMA", but there were a few that didn't really match, and now I'm curious whether any of the other species might be more fitting.
Plus, they're awesome birds B)

nova will sometimes leave for days or even weeks at a time. i dont project him too often, because i work in a kitchen and i can't be focusing on projection instead of the tasks at hand, though he gives commentary occasionally.
we're working a bit more together so that he doesnt just zone out of such long periods of time anymore, which is mostly my fault...

What is your comfort form and why is it what it is?

mostly, nova stays in his coyote form because its comfortable and familiar to us. other comfort forms include tibetian mastiffs, black phase foxes, rats, and crows.
no real reason for most of these, just convenience! (a rat is a LOT smaller than a coyote)

I don't constantly project Kar, but he's always there somewhere in the back of my mind... most of the time he'll pop up out of nowhere to comment on something, and then just kind of linger around for a bit until I get completely distracted by something. Sometimes he'll be with me most of the day - occasionally he'll even stick around the whole day - and other days I only talk to him a couple of times. But as soon as my mind strays anywhere near him, he just appears. I haven't gone longer than a couple of hours without talking to him in a long time. I guess its just natural to me now. How nice. c:

What is your comfort form and why is it what it is?
Kar's comfort forms are constantly changing. For the most part he just stays as his usual wildcat self. That said, he goes through phases - usually for a couple of days - where he'll take the form of something else for no apparent reason. Usually something random. And, thinking about it, usually something media-related too. Once he decided to be Odahviing (a dragon from Skyrim) for about 3 days, which was really awkward to project. But funny. And whenever I got angry with someone he'd start breathing fire all over them, just because. And when I started reading Game of Thrones he stole Ghost's form, which was extremely cuddly. In an incorporeal kind of way. Oh, and when we're in the car or any other space too small for a wildcat, he turns into a weasel. I don't even know why. I just saw one in my garden one day, and tried projecting him as one, and it just stuck.

I almost always project Altair, especially when at school!
Though I only really talk to him when scared, confused, feeling angry or down in the dumps. He's very good at comforting and good for seeking out advice!

What is your comfort form and why is it what it is?
Altair's main comfort form is a Fennec fox:

My personality suits this kind of fox so well and I guess I find it most easy to project! Though occasionally he will project as either an Ermine or Songbird

What personality traits would you use to describe your dæmon? Is s/he similar to you or more of your opposite?
I think that we both think and behaive pretty similar to certain situations and through everyday life, though I tend to find that Altair is quiet a bit better at comforting people then I am.

When at school, sometimes a friend or person I know will obviously be upset and so I feel the need to comfort them.

Altair is always there giving me advice in what to say but when I screw up and only make the person feel worse he will say something like:

-"Nice. Real nice. But DON'T panick! Why not try and change the subject quickly to the weather or any homework due?"

And that always seems to do the trick!

hmm... Gerald is definitely an extrovert, while i'm an introvert. he is far more confident and bold. i must have all the awkwardness between us because he is so smooth. i'm absolutely terrible at comforting people, while he is amazing. he makes me laugh easily, and has a great sense of humour. he's a bit of a dork. we are quite different in personality. it's kind of an opposites attract kinda thing, it seems. (⌒▽⌒)
