What personality traits would you use to describe your dæmon? Is s/he similar to you or more of your opposite? He's almost the opposite of me sometimes xD When I'm silent, he's loud and energetic, when I'm loud and energetic, he tells me to calm down a bit. When I'm messy, he's tidy and whenever I point this out to him, he gets sarcastics and starts denying everything. He's very sweet and compassionate when need, though. He has really helped me through some hard times.

Of course they can! :D Your daemon can take any imaginable comfort form, even a submarine or the Eiffel Tower if that's what you want! Erastos enjoys being a Welsh Mountain Pony quite a lot. Though the actual form can only be a real, analyzable form, your daemon
can take whatever you two like as its comfort form. Tos and I prefer to only take the forms of animals that fit us, personality-wise. So, taking the Welsh Mountain Pony as an example, it's adaptable, it's intelligent, it's patient with children, very versatile, it values traditions, it can have a bit of temperament, it's courageous, it's resilient and thick-skinned, and can also be very proud. The only thing that doesn't fit us, is that it's a tad too outgoing, too fond of working, and too patient. Other than that, it's near perfect. The same thing goes for the Virginia pussom, the Antilles pink-toed tarantula, the domestic pig, the fishing cat and a few others.

I know dæmon can be DEE-mon like "demon" or "DAY-mon" with more emphasis on the "a" sound but is that the same for "dæmian"? Sorry, pronouncing words is not my strong suit xP
I pronounce t as DAY-mon as well, but that might be because it's actually spelled Daimon in the danish version of the book (and pronouncing it in any other way would end up as DIE-mon, which is not really favourable :P)
I also have a couple of other questions:
1. What happens to the daemon if a person dies and is then revived? Both book-verse and in real life. Will the Dust that the daemon was made up of reassemble to create the same Daemon? Will the person be daemon-less for a given amount of time?
2. What if one's daemon loses a feather or some fur? Will it dissolve into Dust or will it just lie on the ground? What happens if someone touches it?
