Is it bad that I am tempted to offer custom equids for the event armour?

And an update on the competition: I have worked every day for the last 2 weeks and today is my first day off but I have made plans to go out. So sorry but no judging competitions today

Oh gosh, I have sooo many doubles of all the armor. You wouldn't believe! I'd gladly, willingly give some tons away for a custom WME. c:

Is it just me that is a bit against this whole 'trade armour for a custom equid' thing?
Custom equids are quite rare and something special, and if horsy decides to actually go through with this, almost every single equid owner will own a custom (which is nice, but then again, the custom equids loses their ''rarity'' and ''speciality'' you might say).
And then there are those who dosen't have that armour/can't get their hands on ones, and if say 3/4 of the community has a custom, there will be 1/4 who will be either slightly jealous and gutted that so many can brag about owning their 100% own design that they could produce, while they have to sit there with either their fingers in their ears or just have to take it and look at the mass production of customs being made.

Wow, that came out so negative, but to be honest it's also the truth. A lot of people do have those armour, ergo a lot of people can get a hold of a custom.
And then what will stop people who aren't buzzing with owning a custom from expecting another custom thing to arrive so they can easily get their hands on a custom?

What I'm saying is (and I know horsy just said she thought/considered it, so no trashtalk please...) we need to be cautious about hand giving customs so easily as there will be someone on the outline who feels gutted and jealous of all the others. And is that fair? Not in my eyes.
(Competitions like the Winter Event was a nice and fair way of winning a custom, and to me, this is how it should continue to be)

This is just my opinion, and I just felt like I had to type this down. I don't care if people start hating/disliking me for being against this, I felt like I should voice out my opinion in this aswell.

and if people really wanted armor they could trade for it so they wouldn't feel gutted/jealous uvu <3
anyways some people can't buy certain things because they can't afford it, sometimes that's just how it works XD

Joke or not, just think of all those people who suddenly start searching wildly for that armour.
How long would you think it would take before other players would mistake the rarity of that armour or go tired of getting constant trades for their armours?
Pretty quickly is my guess.

And yes, I do agree that some people can buy something others can't. But just imagine if you where one of those people who couldn't get a custom while everyone else had one?

Either way, not trying to sound completely rude or anything. Just filling out my point a bit, I find it sweet of horsy considering such an idea, but who knows what jealousy or whatever might lead to in the end... .e.

Ugh, I don't get on half as much as I should for the event, so I don't have many event pets or the swords.....I've gotten all the daily offers but sadly not much else

And thanks for the update horsy! I was getting a tad restless wondering what your plans were xD I'm about 3 hours from home at the moment, staying at my uncles house and all they have is a touchscreen tablet thingy, and this is the first chance I have gotten to get my paws on the Internet to check since Sunday morning....I'd gladly offer art of one of your Equis or linearts for two maybe three equids for event pets and items on my wl....but do keep in mind I won't get a chance to start any art for another 2 days probably

You aren't the only one. As much as I'd love a custom WME, this just wouldn't really be the best way to win them. :3
