“is that the "seasonal question"? if so, I guess i'd say that color, layout, and pacing can all have a pretty dramatic effect on a comic's vibe.

I've been thinking about starting a new comic on here - once i get around to it that might be a good way to attract attention to the club. I'll take a look and see if there are any old banners that i might put in my sig in the meantime. i really wasn't expecting a reply, I thought I was the only one who remembered the artistic climate of CS-that-was!

What is your favorite, if any CS Comic?
“OH, man, I haven't read any CS Comics in ages, all the ones I've read are dead now. I really liked Syla Delaney's "Empty Titles" & Peaceful_Chaos's "Eclipse" And this is making me want to go back and re-read them even though I know that they never reached their proper endings and it's only gonna make me depressed because I'll never know what was supposed to happen.

Okay, I searched my posts for "comic club" and found my first ever post joining this club back in version one.
It was posted on the 30th of October 2013
And my answer to this question then was this:
"I searched join.me and joined it and after a while someone there (I think it was the host...) said I should join, so here I am."
Like, DUDE, anyone else remember when join.mes were a thing??
Maaaan, I remember using the CS search function to search "join.me" and joining whatever random join.mes that were open. Those were some good times.
And to think that such a small thing started me on this crazy awesome ride that was this club. And all the great friends I made.
Sorry for the ramble, but this has just got me feeling so nostalgic.

oh man, i was briefly looking back through some of the old threads and people were referring to this as the "chicken smoothie comic family" thats so sweet... I regret missing out on whatever this was back in the day... it would be pretty cool if we could rebuild this, or at least something similar!
I read Empty Titles back when it was still running, it was a big part of what inspired me to make my own comic. I don't remember the name Eclipse but that doesn't mean I didn't read it, necessarily.
If I start up another comic on here I'm torn as to whether or not I should reboot my old one. On the one hand... I was a lot younger then and was kind of making it up as I went, and the artwork is... embarrassing now... But on the other hand, I think it did gain at least a little popularity in its time. I wonder if there's anyone around these days who would remember?
In terms of "events", maybe some kind of reunion event could get the ball rolling on this thing? Not sure what that would look like though.

Yeah, I don't remember that term, but we were definitely one big, crazy family of lunatics. XD
Shoot, I can tell you one thing that really shows how amazing and sweet this community was. I don't like cussing, and I don't roleplay kissing on the lips, and whenever I was on with them, they would make sure not to cuss (I think I even remember one person telling someone else not to cuss in front of me), and when we'd be roleplaying and some other people would have their characters kiss, it wouldn't matter if I wasn't involved in that part of the roleplay, they would put the kissing under spoiler tags so I wouldn't have to see/read it. Like, how many people would do that, just out of their own hearts? I didn't even ask them too.
I remember we used to have tons of join.mes whilst people were drawing pages for their comics or other stuff, and we almost always roleplayed on the join.mes. It was so much fun.
Honestly, same with my old comics, but I figure I could just take the basic idea of it (especially since mine never made it anywhere really significant plotwise), and start completely new. Plus I don't have any ideas for any new comics.
As for a reunion, I could try to contact some of the old people I knew back in the day, but I don't think any of them are on CS anymore, and I only had contact with one of them on a different site, and I don't think that she's been on that site in a long time either... But I can try.

i was never able to take part in the join.me experiences... a shame. *sigh* well, maybe we can still bring this group back into the consciousness of CS at large anyway. as you may have seen I found an old banner and put it in my sig (though I had to change the thread that it links to).
I think it might be fun to take my old comic and just redraw it and see it through in a way i wasn't able to before. especially since I've had literal years to think about the characters and their world, and have in fact been developing their story in my head pretty much the whole time? it might be worth doing.
or i could start something entirely new! who knows?

I think bringing back your old comic sounds like a lot of fun, but it's up to you what you want to do. ^^
I will try sending out some messages tomorrow, and I plan on adding that banner to my sig as well, but later, when I have more time. For right now, I have to go, but I'll talk with you later!

Who knows! I'm not sure how much work it'll take, or if we would need to make a new thread, but it could be fun having comic creators around again.
Oh wow hahaha, I'm always kind of blown away and humbled that some people still remember ET and think fondly of it. To me it's extremely cringey, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thinking about picking it up where the original left off. (No promises though. : /)
