Years ago, back in the 1950's, adventurers discovered Pixel Squirrels. The Squirrels welcomed them, and when the adventurers left, a dozen Squirrels went with them. Since then, dozens of breeds have been discovered and documented. But, there is one breed that very few people know exist.
These guys are called the Leaf-Squirrels, or just 'Leaves' for short.
Kin of the Egg-Squirrels, these guys have flat, knotted fur on their heads and lower bodies. These pads of fur resemble scales or leaves, there by giving them their name. The reason these guys are not commonly known- is also, not commonly known. All versions of why have this one same fact in them: they didn't welcome the adventurers, and refused to become pets.
But, lately, these Squirrels have been vanishing. Studies show that male PS's use flashy colors to attract mates, and since Leaf-Squirrels are always dull colors, it is hard to get one. Because of this, the population has dwindled to only a small group. When populations of Squirrels dwindle, they will usually breed with other types- such as an Egg Squirrel and a Winged. But Leaf Squirrels are proud and don't interbreed. In the occasion they do, they loose their leaf-like hat. For this reason they are shunned by the pure-bred ones, and they are very hard to come by.
Now these Leaf-Squirrels have started coming back to the Mainland with travelers, hoping to start a new and better life with others. Not many people are willing to adopt them though, and most of the poor guys end up on the streets. The reason is, or so everyone thinks, is because these guys are much bigger than other breeds- and more aggressive.
Two dozen of these Leaf-Squirrels have just come to the Mainland, and the few owners of the breed are determined to find them homes. Will you adopt one?

Heh, sorry about the long intro xD I got a bit carried away.
In this Mini-Event, Diamondshine101, our Head Mod, will post a Leaf-Squirrel made by one of our Artists. Your job is to guess the maker of the Squirrel. The first one to get it right gets it!
In the intro-thing, it says that these guys don't normally breed with other breeds of PS. But you are allowed to breed them if you really want to. Though usually they will be missing the leaf-life fur on their heads if they are a mixed breed. The limit of these guys you may own is three. You may not own any more than that. All Leaf-Squirrels have colored eyes. Purple eyed ones are females, blue eyes ones are male. The eye color changes if they are bred with another breed, such as Winged or Normal. All artists are required to make at least one of these guys for the event! No excuses. When making them, you are allowed to add patterns on the PS- but all colors must be dull (or at least a dark shade) and they can only have blue or purple eyes. When you have made one, don't post it, but send it to me. This Event will last until April 1st.
