I love the original DS much more than the lite. The screens are too bright, the microphone doesn't work at all, and the sounds are way too loud on the lite. And I think this is just me, but the buttons are sort of stickied and it feels so strange playing it x3

plus, my brother dropped his once (yes, he has a lite and i have an original. meh) and now there is a small crack on the shell of it. >.< This really surprised me because my DS is probably two-three years old now, and has been dropped at least a million times, but still not a single crack. I think that is pretty impressive considering how much I abuse it XD



The only problem, I think, with having an original DS is you can't have any accessories or anything. Everything is always made to fit the lite and DSi. Usually that's not too big a deal, but sometimes it is. My charger broke about two months ago, and it took my dad a whole month of searching through ebay to find one to replace it.

Because the lite chargers are different than the originals and for some reason, Nintendo doesn't manufacture stuff for the original DS's anymore D:<

This really annoys me, and I hope my charger doesn't break again x3

and don't get me started on trying to find styluses = - =



I actually find it quite amusing when people examine my DS all over and then say "Is that the newest version of DS!? WOW how did you get it?" XD


Who else has had to have told someone that the original DS was NOT the DS lite? This really annoys me x33

Ooooo! I'm in. I have the original in Blue. I could drop that thing off a 2 story building and it would be fine. That's why I love it

Ive had mine for about 3 years.... its fallen off desks, been dropped in carparks, fallen out of handbags, and yet it has never had a repair or been broken!

1. Buttons: Yes they are soo weird! They dont go 'click' like the ones on the origional DS!
2. Accessories: Painful to find now.
3. Chargers: My dad found one on ebay that charges both the lite and origional.... Works like a charm
4. Origional DS Accessories not being manufactured: Now I wish I had bought a whole heap of stuff for my DS -.-
5. Stylus': So hard to find! I got a Super Mario Bros. one (it doesn't fit into the DS, it goes on the charm-hangy-thingy) from a toy vending machine when I was down in Melbourne
6. "Is that the newest version!!": heard it soooooooooooooo many times before.

They still should sell gamboy advance sp chargers and those work for the original ds
