Does anyone know how to up my FPS? I average around 15-20. Though this isn't horrible when it's working well, when a lag spike hits, it's game breaking. I'm using a gateway laptop and running the newest version of Windows. I also have a texture pack, Chroma Hills, but that did not effect my game at all. I was getting the same FPS before downloading it.

Have you gone into the 'Video Settings' area of the options menu and changed anything in there? There are some changes you can make that can help raise the FPS on your laptop.

If I play on 1.6, I set my graphics to fast with max fps and clouds off. On 1.7, it depends on what the refresh rate of your monitor is. Mine has a refresh rate of 60 fps, so I set my max fps to 60 and make sure vsync is on. Anything over the refresh rate will cause lag and 'tearing'. Having OpenGL turned on should help as well, and fast graphics are always another option. c:

Yes I have been into the Video Options. I have changed most of them.

How do you know what your refresh rate is?

I'm not quite sure, but my dad builds computers, and he says for most it's 60 fps.

Yes, I was able to find it and mine is 60 as well, so I changed the setting to 60. And what is OpenGL?

My Shift+click isn't working. Instead of grabbing a lot and having it automatically come to my inventory, I now have to drag it from a chest to my inventory. Can anyone help me with that?
