I was there, breathing, when i suddenly got curious about something:
When buying a character, do you usually go more for the art than the design? Like, if it haves a quality reference?

I say that 'cause i think a lot of people buy the character more for it's good reference than the design, actually. Then, later, they can't develop the character right or don't like how it looks on other people's styles.
Personally, i go more for the design (i revamp most part of my characters/ refs, so that doesn't matter at all)
