I just don't get it at all.

Not that I can't tolerate it, but I hate having it shoved down my throat like I'm expected to like it; I have no problems with it; I just hate seeing that it makes up over half of what all fandoms consist of.

I agree, even as a girl.
But one or two trans would be fine, but Its a bit annoying being expected to think and love the idea of every characer being trans. Not, that I'm against it.

I mean, nobody has to hope that there's a straight character, or a cis character. Trans people, especially youth, are underrepresented in the media and that's toxic to people who are part of the trans community that don't feel valid (like me)
oops that was a little longer than I meant it to be but it's incredibly personal to me. I'm not just someone who "goes gaga over gay guys or transgenders", I just want to feel valid and represented. Also, sidhe, the comments you made can be very destructive to an actual trans person, just saying.
