I've always gone for looks. Always. Who looks good in a picture together and who doesn't. I'm very picky in that aspect, but originally I used to write fanfictions about characters and all sorts. Now I've been told that roleplay is a good way to make relationships (whether that be mates, friends or enemies) between your character and somebody else's.

How do you forge relationships with your characters and other characters (that belong to different people)?
Design and personality are the main factors. c: If they're a good friend of mine, then I'll gladly roleplay with them. I haven't started roleplaying with Dusk or Pix yet, but I've roleplayed with Aysan, Sanara, Winter, and Ocean in the past, all good friends of mine and exceptional roleplay partners. I like to make sure the designs fit together for possible breeding purposes, but in order for them to make a good couple their personalities have to click.

Relationships just tend to happen when I RP with other people. When the personalities and interests of two characters match, then you can feel them growing closer. And if they don't match, then you'll also know. Never have my characters been close to others for shallow reasons, but there's always deeper connections and such. Even just talking about two characters can tell whether they'd be friends or not. It's all about their mentality. Designs and looks mean little to nothing to me.
