Hi!

The cats being released on the thread right now are stud cats. These cats don't belong to any clan, but they just turn up at gatherings occasionally to make friends, including boyfriends / girlfriends / nb friends / casual partners. None of them will go to a clan at the end of the gathering.

However, each stud cat has some slots for how many times they can be bred to other cats from specific clans. The bee cats, between them, can have a litter with any gender of cat.

To be able to have a litter with them, you will need to firstly make a clan on the Create a Clan thread, have that be founded by a mod, the n choose a cat in your clan who you want to have kittens (for the bees I would recommend a cat with white spotting), post on the gathering thread to fill out the requirements for the stud (typically 3 posts of 150 words each; at a guess, this paragraph will probably be slightly under that), and then fill in the form for the stud in question on this thread.

There's quite a few steps so if you need me to explain any more thoroughly, feel free to reply to me either in PMs or here.

Genotype is the series of alleles that an animal has at a defined set of genes. It is written as a series of paired letters. In CaC we mostly just use appearance based genes because that's easiest.
Phenotype is a written out description of what genes an animal expresses or shows without needing to know their genotype.

For a cat, a genotype might look like LL / aa / XOXo / Mcmc / SpSp / Wsws.
This cat's phenotype looks like "a shorthaired calico with spotted tabby in their red and low white spotting".
Genotypes and phenotypes can get more or less complicated, but this is about average.

You can normally work out one from the other so if you only have one of these, we can normally work okay with that, but having both is easiest.

Both of these will typically be given when a cac mod or mini mod gives you a cat. You do not need to know how to write them out yourself, but distinguishing is helpful so that you know what to copy into the right place in the form. If you want help working out one from the other or making one from the other, you can PM me for that too, and I'd also imagine Simonpet or Deimos would be willing to help (but don't hold them to me volunteering them!).

She would share with Joan some cat-related things and hear whatever else Joan has to share with her.

Joan is not the most socially aware cat, so she doesn't initially realise the nervousness, but she is a truly good girl. The only thing she likes killing is her human's squeaky British soldier toy with the red coat.
She does, however, notice the relaxing as they talk, and assumes it's just the decision that they are friends. Joan is very happy to be sure the cat puppies she finds will go to a friend, and she seems even more happy when she says she thinks she now knows somewhere to bring all the orphaned cat puppies she has found where they can have families

Y'all I'm really pleased with this set! The only other definitely-cat, a two cat studding, and a rare and wild gene I introduced? Superb, I love it. I have plans for what to do for my April fools stud for next year already, and I'm looking forward to it; I love my wild mystery studs <3
