The gathering has started and the Clans have quickly fallen into their usual groups, sometimes drifting away to interact with new cats. As the Clans started to settle down and get ready for the leader announcements, a group of strange cats prowled into the dimly lit clearing. The Clans were startled and awed by the beautiful and handsome cats that surveyed them all closely. The strangers caught wind of the large gathering and have decided to make their way into the crowd to mingle. They don't seem interested in much more than a fling, with quite a few of the strangers having already disappeared into the night when the conversations shared became too serious.

At every gathering, there will be a group of studs (male and female) for Clans to breed their cats with!

★ Each stud will have a maximum of 3 slots and each slot will be fcfs. All studs will have the same post amount requirements. A first slot will be 3 posts and a second slot will be 9 posts. A second slot can't be claimed until the Wednesday following the start of the gathering. On the last day of the gathering, a third slot will open and you will need to have 12 posts to claim it.

★ To enter for a slot, you will need to fill out the form included with each cat.

★ As usual, you will need to post in your next post that your cat is trying for kits with one of the studs. The queens will give birth in the normal amount of time. For Clans that stud with a female stud, you will receive the kittens three posts after you put in your post that your tom tried for kits with her. You will need to have a queen in your Clan to take care of the kits from a female stud.

★ If you want to breed a same-sex couple with one of the studs, you will need to state which cat in the couple will be bred.

★ Each artist will be bringing only one stud to the gathering. All studs will be posted on the first day of the gathering and no later.

★ NONE of the studs will be going to a Clan. After the gathering, they will be "retired" and may be used again at a later gathering.

★ Each stud will have their own individual form.

★ Each post must contain new content with a minimum of 150 words. You must interact with other players, not yourself, for it to count.

xxxxIt's a few days before the gathering, heading towards it, when you have a strange encounter.
xxxxIt's a bright, sunny day, one of the first ones in the whole of the year, with the soft warmth of the sun on your pelt. There's an almost aromatic smell from all the fresh flowers, and a clean smell of grass wafting with it, too.
xxxxThe largest cat you've ever seen - absolutely massive, easily twice as tall as the average! - bounded out of the closest patch of trees. She seemed to be a calico, with strangely placed patches. White spotting on her front and ears, ticked tabby patches on her lower legs, her face, and her chest, and black everywhere else. She had a very wide face, with floppy fur hanging down from beside her ears. Very unusual, especially with the size, but clearly a cat.
xxxxThe cat was carrying a large basket with several calm and happy kittens inside, as well as a few more sitting on her back. Seeing you approaching, she'd made the approach to close the distance while you gathered food for the morning of travel.
xxxxShe had an ungainly run, back legs coming up together, almost rocking with the movement of it, her tail flailing around in a manic way. For some reason, she also had a long blanket wrapped around her. Maybe that was a sign of her clan? Who could know.
xxxxComing up close to you, she lowered the basket to the ground, and trotted around you happily. You sat, knowing that this enthusiasm likely just means she's a new warrior, and allowed your eyes to follow her as she ran around in happy circles. The kittens on her back showed a remarkable aptitude for balancing, and the kittens in the basket seemed to take this as an invitation to get out and explore. You don't mind keeping an eye on them for a few seconds as this young warrior gets all the excess energy from her system.
xxxxAt one point, her white ears tip backwards, still pointing upwards, and you see her shaking her head awkwardly, moving one paw over the front of her head until they're back in place. Maybe she's naturally got folded ears and has been trying to correct that somehow?
xxxxFinally, when it happens, and she slows down to just a walk, her tail still keeps flailing around. Strange. Maybe that's just how the momentum of running works. Maybe your tail would do that if you didn't consciously control it. That would be worth testing when you get home at some point. Maybe she has something wrong with her tail. You decided to assume that it's just momentum for a moment and only amend that if the movement went on for a strangely long time.
xxxxAfter her inspection is done, she presses her nose to your nose happily, and flops down. Her flopping tail thumped audibly against the grassy ground, and her tongue stuck out of her mouth in the typical goofy smile of a few apprentices and kittens you've known over the moons. Due to her enormous size, she has to crane her neck down to keep her head on a level with you. After about a second of looking, she lowers her head down, placing her paws on the ground, and her chin on her paws, looking very relaxed. You notice how long her claws are - and retracted! Her claws must be enormous when unsheathed.
xxxxHer tail was still flicking, but that was probably still just the momentum of it. She's content to just look at you for a second, but when she speaks, her voice is loud, enthusiastic, and all energy.
xxxx"Woof! I mean- Meow! Am cat. Cat go meow, I go meow, proof am cat." She nods, very proud of herself.
xxxx"Like look after puppy- mean cat-puppy, cat-puppy! Find cat-puppy and bring it to cat mummy, so they have cat-mummy and cat-mummy have cat-puppy! Meow!" She turns her head to the kittens, showing off her long nose. One of them is trying to climb up the back of her head, leaving a tabby brown lump there. "Know parents for these ones. Often find cat-puppy with dead mummy now-time. Lots of cat-puppy needing cat-mummy." She looks back at you, and her eyes are pure excitement. "You want cat-puppy? Help cat-puppy find cat-mummy?" Her tail is still flailing. You think it's still the momentum. "Maybe know cat-mummy for be mummy for cat-puppy?""
xxxxShe's doing kitten eyes at you so strongly that it's almost impossible to say no. So you agree to find a queen for some kittens. Who in your clan would fit?
xxxxYou spend a few moments thinking of who would fit, and then having a brain wave, you say the name of the most recent cats in your clan who talked about finding foster kittens or helpful toms from other clans and so on. Whoever seemed suitable; it's not like you had a long time to think about it!
xxxxYou say their name. Maybe you also state their mate's name.
xxxx"What future cat-mummy look like? What future cat-mummy act like? I find cat-puppy who look like them." She follows with a barrage of question, trying to find out everything she can about prospective parents. "Where future cat-mummy live?"
xxxxYou tell her. She seems far too pure hearted to have anything nefarious in mind.
xxxxShe stands up as soon as you answer, and happily places each of the exploring kittens back in the basket. "Okay! Be back when find no-mummy cat-puppy for them." Her tail is still moving. It's probably the momentum of standing up. "Every cat-puppy get good home with cat-mummy loves them. Nearly helped all cat friends find new cat-mummy for their cat-puppy, happy to help so many cat friends." She bounds around again, sniffing different patches of the grass, and even rolls around happily a few metres away before coming back. "Have good happy now-time, be back with cat-puppy who need cat-mummy when find one who fits. I make everyone have happy now-time. Meow!"
xxxxFinally, she puts the one kitten, a pure white baby , who had crawled out of the basket again onto her back, picks up the basket again, and runs off, basket swinging back and forth.
xxxxThe encounter is almost forgotten immediately. You're sure you'll remember to tell the hopefully happy couple in time. You have important things to do first, before the gathering, like making sure you have enough food to travel with.

Unless you're the literal only person who's had a definite cat in their clan before, Joan B'Ark will not be having actual kittens with your cat.
Instead, she will be bringing you kittens with at least some resemblance to your cat, even if it's subtle.
I will roll 6 entirely random cats, each of which has at least one rare gene. These cats will then be paired up into 3 couples. When a cat is selected for her stud slots, I will roll so that there is a 50% chance of any gene on one initially rolled cat to be replaced with the genes of the parent. If you give two parents, then both the random cats in that couple will have the 50% replacement rate. The kittens will then be rolled from the revised randomised parents, giving them a 25% chance of inheriting any particular gene from their parent(s).
I will try to make sure that at least one of the parents being used will maintain the rare genes.
Kittens will then be rolled from the new pair of randomly generated parents with the edited genes in accordance with your cat.
Kits will have an entirely random eye colour, barring when it's determined genetically.
The kits will not be considered genetically related to any cats bar from those in their own litter. This means the kittens from two different Joan B'Ark litters can be mates, although I am not encouraging this.

Basically; the kittens will be from genetically distinct parents that will have some resemblance to the cats that you give, but will have some nice juicy fresh genes added, which may or may not be new. some of them are custom genes

Joan's tail twitches very quickly in an affectionate sort of way as she meets Bearslayer, and immediately excitedly tries playing with him. Once she's done (and possibly he's done), she nods. "Find big friend cat puppy for you. Cat-puppy who say meow, yes."
She winks, and goes off to make more friends and work out who else to make friends with, but she's bound to come back again.
