Muse! I have a folder specifically for cool pictures and things on weheartit.com.
I also color in an editable so I don't have to worry about lines. c:

Sorry to hear about your rabbit!
I've got several characters modeled after my late cat,
Phil. <3 He was incredibly special to me, especially since I'd had him for three-quarters of my life, and he returned home after my dad threw him out of our burning house - he was the only one that made it and came home... and he ran straight into my arms when he found him the next day. <333
Sorren made a really nice set of lines
here. ^^; I hope that helps.

Phew!! Just got done setting up a section of my thread for my adoptables!! c:
Took forever, but it was totally worth it.
I really want my adoptables to be more then just sit there in a thread and be like 'ooh pretty' and occasionally order art and stuff for them. I kinda wanted to make them so that you can really get involved in a community, and be hooked on them. If you know Howrse, that's what I am trying to do with my adoptables, and I think I set up a decent system so far on the breeding, skills, and showing c:
I hope you guys dont mind me posting this long information post about my breed, but I would really like to get some feedback on it. I want to know if it looks alright, and if it interests anyone P:
Again, sorry for the really long post :c

Harmontics have skill points that help them be more successful at shows, or breed better Harmontics in the future. Harmontics that are tamed are born with a set skills points, ranging from 5 - 10 skill points in total. There are 4 different types of skill groups that count toward the total skill; Intelligence, Build, Skill, and Speed. Horses that are tamed are born with a set skill amount, and all of them are random. Skills can be increased though by increasing skills points by entering certain competitions, and 'training'. Breeding your Harmontic with other Harmontics can make offspring with higher skills then the parents.
When a certain skill reaches 25 skill points, you will receive a star for your horse.I m p r o v i n g . S k i l l s . B y . B r e e d i n g . . . ☁
When Harmontics breed, they can improve their offsprings skill points. Every time you breed your Harmontic, your foal will gain 3 skills points in its top skill, and a skill point added to the second best skill, and another skill point added to the third best skill. So in total, your foal will gain 5 skill points at birth, this addition of skills is called a breeding bonus. When you breed a mare and a stallion, the foals overall skills can be determined by this - ( Mare Overall Skills + Stallion Overall Skills ) / 2 = Foals Skills. . You can also figure out each of the foals individual skills by using this system.
Here's an example how you can improve your line of Harmontics;
You own a mare that has 30 skill points; 10 in Intelligence, 5 in Speed, 9 in Build, and 6 in Skill. You then decide to breed that mare with a stallion with 75 skills points; 40 in Intelligence; 14 in Speed, 6 in Build, and 15 in Skill. You now can figure out you foals overall skills by using the system of breeding -
( 30 + 75 ) / 2 = 52.5
That means that your foal will have 52.5 skills before the breeding bonus. When adding that bonus onto the skills, you foals overall skills will be 57.5 skills.
To figure out each individual skills and figure out where the breeding bonus will be added, you have to use the system of breeding on each individual skill.
Using the same example above, I will show you as well -
Intelligence : ( 10 + 40 ) / 2 = 25
Speed : ( 5 + 14 ) / 2 = 9.5
Build : ( 9 + 6 ) / 2 = 7.5
Skill : ( 6 + 15 ) / 2 = 10.5
Total = 52.5
These are all of the individual skill sets before the breeding bonus. Since we now know what the foals dominant skills are, we can now add the breeding bonus.
Number 1 Skill : 25 + 3 = 28
Number 2 Skill : 10.5 + 1 = 11.5
Number 3 Skill : 9.5 + 1 = 10.5
And the total is = 57.5
That's how you can figure out you skills of your foals before breeding your mare, or your stallion to a potential Harmontic.
I m p r o v i n g . S k i l l s . B y . T r a i n i n g . A n d . S h o w . I n f o r m a t i o n . . . ☁
Harmontics though can better their skill points by doing various things; entering certain competitions, and 'training'. Training is when you either enter a art piece, or a writing piece of your Harmontic. I have set up the skills and competitions so that everyone can have a chance at being successful. If you are more into drawing and art, you can gain more Build and Speed by entering your art of your Harmontic. For build, you concentrate on the build and anatomy of your Harmontic. For Speed, you must draw your Harmontic doing something athletic, or a creative scene. If you are more into writing, you can gain more Skill and Intelligence by entering your writing piece for your Harmontic. For Skill, you concentrate on short stories, or a scene/adventure of your Harmontic. For Intelligence, you concentrate on poems, riddles, and rhymes.
When you enter a piece of art for your Harmontic, you have to state whether its for Build or Speed. Your art piece will be graded, and you can gain either 1-5 skill points for that piece. The same goes for entering a writing piece, you must state whether its for Intelligence or Skill, and I will grade it as well.
When your Harmontic is entered into a show, the winner is determined by the total skills, highest skill, and second highest skill. To win, you want you Harmontic to have one of the top total skills, but to also have its dominant skill ( Number 1 Skill ) the highest, and also have the second skill ( Number 2 Skill ) one of the highest out of all of the Harmontics as well. When figure out where to enter you Harmontic, try to look at the classes and see which one suits your Harmontic. Each class states what it requires, such as Driving [ Intelligence X Skill ] . The bolded and underlined part of the class is the skill that needs to be dominant, and the other skill that is not bolded and underlined is the second dominant skill.
Notice : You must choose whether you horse is Western or English. You can change the discipline twice in its life time. Rare items for duel discipline horses may be given out during events.
I set up the shows that everyone can have a chance at being successful in at least one class -
If you can only do art, you can enter a English Class - Racing [ Build X Speed ] or a Western Class - Barrels [ Build X Speed ]
If you can only do writing, you can enter a English Class - Driving [ Intelligence X Skill ] or a Western Class - Trail [ Intelligence X Skill ]
I also set up classes where you can do a mixture of either art and writing to improve the skills. So if you can do both writing and art, you can enter in these classes -
English Class - Equitation [ Speed X Intelligence ] or a Western Class - Horsemanship [ Speed X Intelligence ]
English Class - Hunter Under Saddle [ Skill X Build ] or a Western Class - Western Pleasure [ Skill X Build ]

I say if you adopt her out make it clear that they would not own her mother and it would only be the offspring. If they try to claim the mother report them

Thank you everyone. Yeah, I'm more than a little heartbroken, she was only a year old. I never expected her to die. She was perfectly alive in the morning and then when I went to go give her her new water bottle my parents bought, I discovered she wasn't moving, wasn't breathing and she was stiff.

Anyway, it's nice to know I'm not the only one who has ever wanted to do this. I imagine it'd be hard to get her to look anything like her in real life. I'm not very good and she some very cute and unique quirks about her that would be difficult to replicate.

Aww, B, he's a gorgeous cat. <3 That's a really touching/personal story. I'm sure his memories are the makings of a great character. ;u;

Where do you get most of your ideas for your characters? (design, personality, and history-wise)
Design-wise, I don't make most of my characters. When I do, they're rather simple or unattractive. I seem to do well at designing characters for other people, but I'm completely unable to make myself suitable characters. I am, however, good at coming up with ideas for characters I want and asking someone to custom make them for me with a description as a reference. Most of my ideas for that come from pre-existing characters, real-life connections, and things that I find attractive (ie. favorite colors for animals or hair styles and races/ethnicities for humans, especially guys 8D).
Personality-wise, I usually do something a lot like my own personality, or completely different from my personality. I do run into personality issues sometimes, however. I am not the best at writing original non-cliche personalities unless the character design is like really unique and helpful to writing the personality.
History-wise, this is where I get the most inspiration for a character. Sometimes I go by what the appearance of the character tells me. In the picture, do they look sad? Do they have certain accessories or outstanding markings? Any scars, cuts, or other injuries/health problems? For original background/history ideas, I get a lot of my ideas from my actually quite inspirational history class. Our history teacher literally lectures out of our history curriculum daily. She's a rather intelligent older woman. She's good at adding sidebars/extra information that gives me good ideas for characters. xD In fact, I have a great idea for a story having to do with the quartering art right now. c; Sometimes science class gives me ideas, too, but not for stereotypical/cliche characters like lab experiments. -_-
@ Rabbit - I'm so sorry. :c My turtles died in a similar way on Christmas Day. :c It was terribly devastating for me, especially as I was younger and more emotional at the time. It didn't help to be on Christmas.
