I remember the Flood. They were really scary to me. I just didn't realize they had names.

Speaking of not knowing names, is any one thoroughly provoked by "Midnight"? The hostess and the creature didn't have a name...I won't go into it because it hurts my brain. Well not really, I'm just bad at interpreting things.

Oooohhh... the Midnight monster. That was creepy. Add that as number four on my list of creepiest monsters. O.o
It does bother me that they left it so unfinished, but I suppose it makes sense. It is good to run across an alien being every now and then that even the Doctor doesn't find out about.

I still wish they had made it more like "The Girl in the Fireplace," though. (spoilers for that episode below)
At the end the Doctor never finds out why the clockwork robots wanted Mademoiselle de Pompadour, but at least WE do.

Dramatic irony is great, but I like that they didn't do it that time. No one knew the alien's true form or anything, which made that episode super creepy.
