So this week I decided to work on my Rune Bearer and Elkrin Rider. So I'd like to introduce them, with this awful picture. Bear in mind, I can't draw humans for
anything. Their faces are like... urgh. Well, gotta start somewhere right? Lazy shading is especially lazy. It looked better as a sketch.

"Then why aren't you walking again?”This piece inspired specifically by the quote “Tramps walk. Ladies ride.” Although I can't remember where it's from... I think from a 'Bloody Jack' novel, but I can't be sure. I might have to double check.
So yes, my Rune Bearer – who is riding sidesaddle on a Drake... with no saddle. Don't ask me how that works. She just has magical sidesaddle riding powers. It looks good though, which makes up for how uncomfortable that must be. *Covers all the anatomical flaws with bunches of fabric*
I know Eldemore is referred to as 'steampunk', and I always think of steampunk as Victorian-Early Industrial era, so that's where her design inspiration came from. Besides I like the idea of what appears to be a stylish young Eldemorian lady bonding with Deep Sea Runes and Kelpie Runes, and Belted Drakes – it's a little unexpected.
Refrence for her riding habit here, which was the only reference I used. I should probably start using references for things like... hands, faces, legs, hair... parasols - pretty much everything I can't draw.
My Elkrin Rider doesn't have an Elkrin yet, but I went ahead and designed him anyway, since I already sort of know what he's like as a character. He's one of those characters that once you get in your head, they start yelling at you to make them. I'm sure I'll find him an Elkrin one day though. In the meantime, he still has to walk. ^^
Anyway... I have both their personalities and histories written up. I might still mess with their designs a bit, but once I've finished their little reference sheets I'll start a thread for all my Eldemorian characters.
