Oh my gosh the competition for Swift's recent Bun plumie was really heckin' fun. Elimination, guessing game, and finally a form. I lost but I really mean it when I say it's had to be one of my favourite competitions thus far.

WELL. It's kind of a half half sorta deal? I prefer personality over design but I don't exactly want my Plumies to end up mating with,,, terribly complicated designs. It's not that I don't like the ones that are complicated. ;w; I just don't want to lose a life every time I draw them together. orz
If I can find a Plumie that fits well, design wise, AND personality wise, talk about win win oh gosh.

Def has to be 600. I'm a sucker for neutral colors (grey + brown fAV) as well as the color blue, and simple designs. The multiple tails was a really nice trait of it too because I'm quite the sucker for tails of any sorts. They're, kind of my fav thing to draw. :')

I'm not sure if I completely understand the question, but I enjoy contests that require writing!! If I connect to the character, then I have a ton of fun with it.That is what I did for Orion c:

Orion is not in a official ship yet but I mostly focus on personality. Design always comes second, if not at all.

Kacey is a very obnoxious individual, if you just
give him 5 minutes to make a first impression. It takes
a while to warm up to how he acts, and the way he perceives
the world. Due to his nature of being strongly sufficient of
only his own needs and cares, he's often labeled
as ignorant, arrogant, and onry.

Sadly, Kacey is very oblivious to the way he
comes off to others. He himself doesn't catch
the times were he speaks before thinking, or when he
yells insults at others. This is due to having short term
memory loss. He can quickly forget the things he has
said to others during arguments, everyday conversations,
etc. and therefore this causes a lot of problems
when he's constantly absent minded-ly denying ever having
said this or that to someone else.

In short, he can be called a sweet, noisy, compulsive liar.

So Froas and I have decided to try shipping Corbin and Fenrir. However, Corbin is Polya, so we want to find a third plumie for the two of them!


Details:
The plumie must be male or use he/him pronouns. (Corbin is cismale, Fenrir is agender but uses he/him)
Both Fenrir and Corbin are 18 so no plumies over 24 please!
Corbin has a steady job and does a fair amount of traveling
The three of them will all be in a relationship together ^^
Corbin has a house, and it's likely that the three of them would move in there, it's got a fair amount of room to it.
We would be rping them first, along with art and headcanons.
Kids can be figured out in the future.

Well, not really. I like guessing game ones so much I will enter even if I'm not planning on winning. I once almost won an adopt (not a plumie) when I was trying to lose in the last round. I didn't even want the adopt, I was just having fun.

I think it's a little bit of both. Most of it is personality, but to some extent if I really don't like the design of the other plumie (rare but it happens) I won't do the ship because it means I wouldn't want to draw them, and I really like being able to draw ship art.

Well, personality/design wise Fabel (300(, since she's hanging with Ritika right now and it's super cute, edit wise 400 was my favorite.

Different, yes. See, I've got this huge family, adopted siblings, godparents, etc, and so despite me being white, I'm a part of like seven different cultures, Chinese, Vietnamese, Celtic, American, Latino, and several more, and I love all of them because of the different people who I know belong to them and all these different histories and stories that I've heard growing up.

But sometimes when I celebrate them, be it Lunar New Year, Dia de los Muertos, 10/10/10... I sometimes I'd get weird looks or people would tell me that somehow it was culture appropriation (96% of the time it was snotty white people) for me to participating because I was white, despite the fact that I grew up with these holidays.

So when I create a character with a different skin tone/nationality/race, it's kinda my way of having that part of myself be out there without anyone yelling at me. Like Ritika has the skin tone/race of my god-mother whose my mom's best friend and would teach me all these things when I was little, and Corbin looks just like my little cousin who I love to make candy skulls with.

Sexuality/gender wise, I was homeschooled with proper sex ed so all of this has always just kinda been normal to me. So when I do it for characters, it's kinda just whatever I feel like. (I myself am Ace-Demi) There's no really difference there for me.

usually i like personalities going well together, but if the designs are awful together i sometimes factor that in :'0

i've always loved 100, igneel. his design is my personal favorite of the 100s qvq

well, i try to be diverse as possible tbh. none of them are the same race or sexuality because i personally find that boring ? idk it's just me. when my characters are too similar it's just not as interesting in my eyes.

i tend to really like simple designs (points 2 antoinette), but otherwise it's all about the colors. i really love designs with warm colors (points 2 emmett) and i also love greyscale designs with a bit of color (points 2 caius). edits are also cool, but the design itself is always more important to me.

I don't really have a say. Usually their design, origin, and accent/talking style plays into what their race is. Their gender is a matter of their own identity and if they were raised in a sexist environment or introduced to sexism. Then their sexuality is a matter of their own factors and decisions along with any trauma or other factors that might file into their mate selection. I have little say in it. So I guess... I like having it different because I feel like I'd be forcing my own personality and psychological structure on my characters and that's just... I dunno, gross? Is that a good word to use?

I seem to love natural colored plumerians. It's not a strict must-have, but natural colors do attract me much more than others. Adding in a little extra is fine, but as long as the base design is roughly close to something natural, I enjoy it. I also prefer animal pelt patterns or simplistic tattoo-like markings other than anything flashy or flowery/sparkly. Though on occasion I see a plumerian that catches my eye that does not fit within the usual parameters.

It comes down to if they 'connect'(Not sure what it is, but I believe it a complex subconscious process that is triggered upon exposure to/discovery of certain visual stimuli). I know them when I see them, and sometimes while I may like a design, I don't connect and I place my affections into gift art or something of the such.

I don't 'ship' my characters. They have relationships, not 'ships'.
That being said, I care a whole lot more about personality. Designs aren't worth a dime in the end. They're cute and nice when they match, but in the end I couldn't care less. If my character likes yours, then that's all that matters. The only time it matters is if it matters to the plumerian/character, and even then I'm hesitant. I want my plumerians to be happy, and your plumerian looking pretty won't keep me any longer if I see my plumerian isn't happy with yours.

There's a tie between #100, Igneel, and #600. Igneel was pretty cool to try out for, but #600 seems really interesting... I'm watching that one to see all the cool characters people can create with them. I didn't connect, but I still like the idea of healing fire.

most of the most memorable competitions i've been in i lost, actually : 00 it does feel good to win, but sometimes the fun is in developing the character!
