It's air dry clay. I really need to get some polymer clay. XD

I prefer air dry clay. I don't have to worry what happens to the things I make in the stove and I don't need to buy different colours. With Air dry clay you can also take a break any time you want and just put the unfinished figure in a box and if it gets to dry, just add some water. You can also work on the clay when it's dry a bit more, I often try to make make everything a bit smoother, by softly going over it with some sharp blade. Looking at yours, I would use some water and go over everthing a little, to get it smoother as well. You can also add details in the clay if you make it a bit wet and use a toothpick.

Hey guys if you're trying to find them in the wild get a cute charm ability lead. The opposite gender of the cute charm lead appear more often (Ex: male cute charm sylveon will cause more females to appear). I do this when I'm hunting female eevee.

Polymer looks nice, but it's more expensive (at least in the shop I go to) and it's harder to add details with colour.
You don't really need any special tools. I usually work with a toothpick, my hands and sometimes a knife.
If you wet your fingers and go over the clay, it becomes slippery and you can smooth it or you do it after its dry softly with a knife. You can also dry it pretty fast with a hair dryer, no problem (I do that sometimes if I have to finish a figure as a present). It can be a bit tricky to add limbs, but they usually don't fall of easily when they are dry. The fennekin is pure clay, but if I want to make bigger things, I often put some stones inside so that I don't have to use too much clay (or to make the balance better by adding weight).

Thanks for the tips btw. Pretty sure my grandma would have a problem with me using her knives for smoothing though lol. ill try and pick up something for smoothing for my next projects.

The reason I used tinfoil though is because I tried making a pikachu before and the ears and tail fell off because it was too frail. I just find it easier to make a armature before and it even makes it feel lighter. The clay I'm using gets really heavy when it dries.

Btw; in x and y and ORAS, is shinx not in the wild... its a bit of a hassle getting pkmn from pearl.

Really? I have not seen him.... I use Omega Ruby as my main.. (Im half way through Alpha Sapphire) It would be a big help if u could tell me the location.
