Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, a fnaf fanclub! [A clean slate]

that's what it seems like to me. I don't know if any of you guys use the subreddit, but for those that don't, it basically went down like this:
-Subreddit believes Scott to be trolling, but a small minority insist he is telling the truth, so debates break out
-Subreddit criticises Scott for not clarifying what he meant and announcing if it's true or not
-Scott makes an odd comment claiming the people calling his post a troll "aren't true fans" and that he needs to "make stuff for the real fans."
-Subreddit is (understandably) upset by this, what with us being one of the largest FNaF communities there is and even having mods who are frequently in contact with Scott himself + many many huge fangame developers such as Popgoes, DirectDoggo (made Dayshift at Freddy's) and the creator of Five Nights at Candy's
-Scott sees the backlash and rushes to make an apology post which is for the most part just an apology for how he handled the situation, but finishes it with the line, "And I lied. I can't stop making things for the true fans of this series. You are true fans of the series and I'm sorry I said what I did," (paraphrased because Reddit is down right now.)
-Subreddit is confused about whether "I lied" means he lied about the game being cancelled or he lied about not caring for the subreddit.

personally I lean towards the latter, though I still believe the game is just delayed and not outright cancelled.

I don't believe the game itself is entirely "cancelled". I think that FNAf 6, as it was, has been scrapped, but I do believe that there is a chance it will return in the form of something else- perhaps a revamped form or something that makes more sense in the plot. It isn't like Scott to drop things.

When there is no activity on Scottgames I can agree that something is up and there probably isn't going to be a game anytime soon until the next teaser- and by inactivity I mean no images, no source codes, nothing whatsoever. However Scott has given us a static screen with a JPG name "interrupt", and fnafworld still contains source codes. This, to me, is a but suspicious.

Interrupt, by definition, doesn't always mean that it was permanently stopped.

If you interrupt something you generally are stopping it temporarily. If you interrupt a train of thought you can always resume said train of thought. You can always resume something that has been interrupted, and I think that is key here.

I do not believe Scotts original post was a troll- I truly think that the original idea of FNAF 6 won't be coming anytime soon and that he may make other things. But I do believe that we will be getting another fnaf game in place of FNAF 6.

To put it in simpler terms think of of a cartoon that has just been cancelled. Said cartoon can always be renewed and revamped. If people like it enough or the company believes that renewing it will make more money, then the show can be pulled out again and given a makeover. THAT is what I think is happening to Fnaf 6. It's getting a makeover.

And one more thing to give th people who think it was a troll some hope- After reading Vermillions post on the subreddit issue and Scott's response I might have an answer. Read this line again- "And I lied. I can't stop making things for the true fans of this series. You are true fans of the series and I'm sorry I said what I did," Now if this was paraphrased entirely than my observation may not mean anything, BUT! Scott has stated that he can't stop making things for the true fans of FNAF. Meaning that we may get more FNAF games in the future.

That is a extremely good point with in its self . And the next game is something I hope and believe is coming with in the further at some point
