If you personally find someone's character really ugly, is it harder for you to draw art for then? Do you rush through it, or do you try you best despite really disliking the design?
I still do my best, because the commissioner did pay me...

Honestly, cheaper ones with potential. I like to order more art and make a nice ref myself.

Do you prefer simpler character designs, or more complex ones?
To be honest it depends on the character and design, I like both and have both. Simple are easier to draw or animate.

Do you tend to prefer buying pricier characters with a well-done reference, or go for cheaper ones with potential?
Well it depends to I can't get higher price because I don't have PayPal. But there are a ton of nice characters that don't cost a fortune. There are pleanty that have great potential and you can do your own ref it you would want. My character Evan had a traditional ref that wouldn't really be called HQ, but I made my own ref of them an they still have great potential as a character!

If you personally find someone's character really ugly, is it harder for you to draw art for then? Do you rush through it, or do you try you best despite really disliking the design?
Not really, I can understand it being a photo or character with the bright colors kind of just colored on different sections of the character. So no I never really had the problem.

What in a character makes you decide it's your new/current/previous Fursona? Like; what makes you look at a design and say "this is me as art. This is my animal representation of me"
Not sure my current fursona and still my first Akuma is a Red Deer (Reincarinated Demon). They were attualy just an original drawling and I revamped them into a ful ref as my offical and first fursona. I am really interested into demon and demonology so that is probably why. Also I really like deer so I feel connected to Akuma. Then made another ref.


Then for my ponysona Dakota, I am obsessed with steampunk so I made her a paint with gears in the design, I am attualy really happy how she came out, and that it fits her design and me!

Depends on the design. There are some really beautiful complex designs out there, but then again there are also some really beautiful simple designs out there.

Mmmm.... Design matters more to me than the quality of the ref and character. I HAVE been leaning more towards pricier characters lately, but still by other people's standards they are probably cheap. I tend to lean towards cheap things but that's just because I can't afford to invest a LOT of money on a character.

Yes, it makes it so much more difficult to draw it and I tend to rush it slightly more than I would a design that I actually like.
