I've always wondered this.. like Idk why, when I offered free requests when my computer still worked, I personally turned down the requests (not all) that I thought were ugly and felt like were gonna take longer than like 13 hours (I'm so slow) because I couldn't connect or whatever. Then there were some that I didn't personally agree with the design, but I stil drew them Bc those people really liked my art and we're constant at trying to get something from me. Idk I personally have mixed emotions, but then again I have yet to successfully run my own art shop and keep up with it (too many reasons to go into detail. All my fault tho lmao)

I have my Fursona Pirate, initially because I really liked his design, and he was the first character for me to really connect with... but he's kinda become retired? (I still get art of him, but it's rare. Mostly because I'm broke too much) and then there's Sabu, who I named after myself because I felt like the name fit him.. but he's not really a Fursona?? Idk. Just trying to figure out what makes yall determine something is your Fursona.

Also, if I offered a couple chibis that are done traditionally, and not colored of your character..
Would anyone be interested?
If so what should I price them at?
I could also consider doing a full sheet size and mailing it to you but thatd be something to discuss off site lmao.

^Was drawn on paper and then scanned in and linearted/colored in sai.. but unfortunately my computer is broke so I can't offer colored versions of my art rn.

i like simpler ones !! i cannot draw complex characters tbh [or well when i do it takes a lot of effort and i mess up at some point. simple ocs are better when i just wanna relax and doodle ??]

usually cheaper ones since i generally don't have a lot of currency on quite a few sites whoops

well... first thing's first, i created lynt and kidd specifically to be sonas, even if that was in 2012 and they were very different in terms of personality/history as to how they are now. hiroaki came in a dream [well his design and history aspects anyway] and i had been wanting a Pikachu sona so i developed him whilst trying to keep him close enough to me. i can answer this best w/ danny and Emily, though, since i made them sonas after they had been ocs [which i think is what the question is implying ?? im not really sure if you meant ocs into sonas or whole new sona designs]
i roleplayed with danny a lot, and Emily was first made for a roleplay actually. although my roleplaying back then was not... great, danny still developed - although slowly - from his original history and some of his personality aspects. i looked at him one day and thought "huh, hes actually pretty close to me in terms of some personality aspects" and i looked at the others and how they fitted with him. due to certain personality similarities, i decided to make him one of my sonas. as i matured, i realised that some of his traits didn't fit with me, but i felt comfortable with altering those ones that didn't so they did fit ? like, i could tweak his personality and still love him. and so hes been a sona since about October 2012 i think ?? and I've been v gradually developing over this time, too !! c:
and Emily has a pretty similar story. i went "huh, i can see myself in some of her traits" and then edited accordingly later on

tbh ive had my sonas as my sonas for a couple of years now [nearly 4 years for lynt and kidd ?? what how did that even happen] and im not really planning on demoting them anytime soon ? anyway, i think it could help if you looked at an oc's personality and aligned them with your own - see how much they fit you !! maybe see if you would be comfortable with tweaking their personality a bit ?? [since we all change and develop, being comfortable with doing this could help] and also - don't feel as if you must have a sona as soon as possible; sonas are very personal, and its fine to take your time in thinking about them c:
