Awesome! It's amazing how Gebb, whom I'm currently riding and training to jump, is directly related to Man o' War! He's a fifth gen, but still. He got Man o' War through War Admiral on Compliance's side. He has Nasrullah through Bold Ruler on Gebb's Halo's side. He has strong blood from Native Dancer from both sides and Nearco on Compliance's side.

Rosie has the same sire, so she has Native Dancer, Halo, Hail to Reason, and Bold Ruler. Her dam was Missionary Ridge who has Hail to Reason again, Nijinsky, Northern Dancer, Round Table, Princequillo, Nearco, and Bull Lea.

I'm still digging for the deep stuff in Halo's pedigree, but Gebb and Rosie are related to my Halo as well. Distant cousins I believe. Halo comes directly from the original Halo as well. The Halo line it turns out is on of the most sought after lines in racing. The only reason Halo didn't make it in the breeding shed was because he was a runt. 15.2 hh. Rosie has had plenty of foals. I really want to trace them too. Gebb has sired many racers. I don't know if they've made it yet.

Just goes to show how closely the horses at my barn are in terms of pedigrees. This makes me so happy. You can check out they're lines here:

oohhh i really like that site 8D But does it include Australian horses? Or just american horses? Because i searched my horses name (He's a TB) and found 1 gelding under that name. And He has Nearco as a distant Sire/dam (didn't read the gender)

Nearco's a stallion. It includes horses from all over the world.

I searched Koda (Dakota's Panzer) my horse on a paint horse database. I don't really know of any famous paint horses because they are mainly western horses. CX He is though related to two famous horses, Poco snowflake and Pocohontas on his dad's side. C: He's probably related to more, it's just I don't really know of many famous paint horses...

it is so cool. But i must admit. I'm hoping i can find out if it is clancey's. If he is on that data base, his name will be 'Clancy'. But i added an e to his name to make his name 7 letters like one of the most famous horses EVA Phar lap <3. And the horse i'm looking at had horses with the names 'Pharo-something' like that. So maybe somewhere along his breeding he's related to Phar Lap (omg!). But yeah.

Koda seems just awesome. Paint horse and all. And he's gorgeous. <3 i'd die to meet him.

Zax- lots of thoroughbreds are all traced back to a few different horses, partly because thoroughbreds are widely used for racing, and even if they aren't individually used, their parents could be retired racehorses, or another ancestors were. A horse I ride is retired racehorse. He's... 14 I think.

I searched up the horse I ride on that website and found out all about her father (he sired about 20 horses and won some stuff) and his father and mom, and pictures too, and found her birthday and that she had a foal who had two foals, and her daughter looks like her. It was fun, actually. I found Toppy's bloddlines too, and a for sale ad of his cousin in another part of the country.

Does anyone have any tips to teaching a horse voice commands for riding I have a pretty good idea of what to do and am already making progress, I just wonder if any of you have tips? And has anyone heard of rythm beads?

Toppy, I'd suggest saying the command as you give them a little kick or tap with the whip. That way the horse willeventually learn the command without the use of you r leg or whip.

Does anyoneknow how I could find out if Koda has any foals? He was gelded a bit later than most horses, 9 years old, and I've always wondered if he has any foals.
